I groaned as I opened my eyes. My eyes slowly adjusted to my surroundings; I furrowed my eyebrows when I realized I was in medical. To my left, Abby was asleep. She looked peaceful. A few seconds later, her eyes opened and she looked at me. She looked relieved that I had woke up.

"You're awake," she said, sitting up. "How do you feel?"

I winced slightly as I sat up a little. "My side hurts like a bitch but besides that, I feel fine. How long was I out?"

"A few hours. You lost a lot of blood," she said as she checked my pulse. "Your pulse is getting stronger. That's good."

I bit the inside of my cheek, looking around the room. My eyebrows furrowed when I realized Clarke wasn't here. If she were here, she would be by my side, making sure I woke up. "Where's Clarke?"

Abby hesitated, walking toward the counter a few feet away. "She and Lexa are camped outside Mount Weather with the grounder army."

My eyes widened. "What the hell am I doing here then?"

I sat up, pain shooting through my body, but I ignored it. Abby quickly walked back toward me, trying to push me back down. "No, Aiden. You need to rest."

I shook my head. "No. What I need to do is help my friends."

I brushed passed the woman, practically limping through the halls. I know Raven's here so I decided to check in on her. When I reached engineering she and Wick were talking. I've never actually met Wick now that I think about it. I smiled as I spoke, walking into the room.

"You guys having fun without me?" I joked.

Raven's head snapped to me, a big smile appearing on her face as she quickly walked to me, pulling me into a hug. "God, it's good to see you."

I smiled, hugging her back, groaning in pain slightly. "You too."

"They told me you might not make it," Raven commented as she pulled away from the hug. "Said you lost a lot of blood."

I shrugged, a smirk forming on my lips. "What can I say. I'm a badass."

Raven chuckled.

"You must be Wick," I said, turning to the blonde man to my left. I held out my hand for him to shake. "Is Wick your first or last name?"

He grasped it firmly. " Last. You must be Aiden. I've heard a lot about you."

I raised an eyebrow. "All good things I hope." Wick nodded. I turned back to Raven. "What are you guys working on?"

"We're trying to figure out this whole acid fog situation," Raven answered, walking back toward her work table.

I nodded. "Mind if I try to help out?"

Raven shook her head. I pursed my lips as I slowly sat on one of the stools beside the table.

"Okay, so they make a fog that melts people?" Wick said. "What are we talking? Nucleation? Oh, please tell me it's Brownian diffusion. I'll have you know, I was a god at fluid dynamics."

"You think you were a god at everything," Raven commented.

"Empirical evidence doesn't lie," wick said.

"No, but it can stretch the truth," I butted in. Raven held out her fist for a fist bump. I smirked, fist-bumping her.

Wick gave me a playful dirty look. "You're as bad as Raven... Alright. Let's get our stoichiometry on."

Wick walked around the table, standing beside Raven as he grabbed a washer and stuck it onto a metal pipe.
