"Miller!" Someone shouted. I caught my ball and looked at the entrance as Maya and Miller walked into the room.

"I'm glad you're okay," Clarke said to Miller.

Miller gave her a single nod. "Yeah. Heard you and Aiden are fitting in quite nicely."

I looked at Maya, who looked away, embarrassed. Of course, she said something. I let out a breath as I tossed my ball at the target on the wall. An alarm suddenly sounded, causing me to stop once again, jumping slightly.

"What the hell's that?" I asked.

Clarke hopped off her top bunk and stood in front of Maya. "Hey. What's going on?"

"A surface patrol is back, and someone needs medical attention," Maya replied. "I have to go to quarantine."

Clarke was about to follow Maya as she ran out of the room, but Jasper grabbed her arm.

"Hey, Clarke. What are you doing?" He asked. I sat up in my bed, putting my ball in my pocket.

Clarke looked at Jasper. "Maybe they found survivors. If our people are hurt, we have a right to know."

"Pretty sure we shouldn't go wandering around," Jasper shouted after the girl as she ran out of the room. Jasper rolled his eyes, running after her. I got up, going after them. When I reached them, I saw Clarke snatch someone's key card.

"Hey, stop," someone shouted as Clarke ran around a corner. "It's not safe."

"It is for us," Clarke said. "Let's go, Jasper."

I ran past the people and past Jasper, going after Clarke. I heard Jasper sigh slightly. "Someone's gotta keep them out of trouble."

We ran into a long, white hallway with paintings all over the walls.

"Clarke, slow down," I said as Clarke ran into a room. Jasper and I followed her.

"Stop pushing so hard," Jasper said. "These people are--"

He stopped when a body in a clear body bag came into view, a bullet wound on his chest.

"Are lying to us," Clarke concluded. "That's a bullet wound." She looked at Jasper. "Grounders don't use guns."

"Unless the grounder got the guns from us," Jasper said.

Clarke shook her head. "I don't think so. I think our people are alive out there."

I turned around just as a woman in a blue hazmat suit stepped into the room. "Get them out of here."

Three more people in blue hazmat suits came into the room, leading a man with what looked like radiation burns all over his body.

I tossed my ball at the wall when I suddenly heard the door open. I looked behind me to see Clarke walk into the room. I turned so I was facing the other way as Clarke sat on the bunk next to mine, which happens to be hers. Jasper sat beside her

"What did President Wallace say?" I asked, curiously.

"He showed me Shaw's body," Clarke answered. "It looked like an arrow wound."

"Maybe because it is an arrow wound," Jasper said.

"Or that's what they want us to think." I shook my head which made Jasper sigh. "What?"

"They could've doctored it," Clarke stated.

"Clarke, you sound like a crazy person," Jasper whispered. "And you're dragging Aiden into this as well."

I gave him a look. "I dragged myself into this, Jasper."

"Why do you wanna screw this up for us?" Jasper asked.

"I don't know what this is," Clarke said, frustrated.

"This is safe. This is food, a real bed, clothes. My personal favorite: not getting speared by grounders. How long do you think they'll let us stay here if you keep this up."

Clarke looked at the boy, standing up. "Did someone threaten you?"

Jasper scoffed. "No. It's common sense. Look, were guests here, not prisoners. What would you do with a guest who kept calling you a liar? Generally acting like an ungrateful ass?"

"I'd kick their ungrateful ass out," Miller butted in, not looking up from the book he was reading.

"No one asked you, Miller," I shot, shooting him a dirty look.

"Right now, the biggest threat to us is you," Jasper added.

I pursed my lips as he turned and walked away. "If it makes you feel any better, Clarke, I'm with you on this."

She gave me a tight-lipped smile. "Thanks, Aiden."

I returned the smile.

I was tossing my ball, as usual, at a pillar in the dining hall. It's reminding me of when I was in lockup on the Ark.

"Is this annoying yet?" I asked the guard standing outside my door as I tossed the ball at the door repeatedly.

"If you don't stop that, I'm going to put you to sleep," the guard muttered, angrily.

I smirked as I continued to throw the ball at the door. After another minute or so, I decided to stop. I turned on my heel and walked toward the window, looking at Earth. I wonder what it's like there?

I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at Clarke, who was sitting in a chair alone. I watched as she crumpled a piece of paper angrily and tossed it into a trash can beside her. The sound of voices behind me caught my attention. When I turned to see who was talking, my face fell. It was the guy with the radiation burns, but they were almost completely gone. I'm no doctor, but he should still have severe burns. I saw Clarke follow the man and was going to follow her, but decided against it. It would be a bit suspicious after everything that's already happened.

I'm back. This one's short, I know, and I'm sorry about that. It's also more of a filler chapter than anything, but I hope you enjoyed it nonetheless. I'll see you in the next one.

Buh-bye.
