Dagmar checked her belongings one last time before she zipped up her suitcase. She had managed to switch classes today, so she would be off earlier and not miss anything important at the same time. She could fly to Barcelona without any trouble and she really couldn't wait to set her feet on the Spanish soil. Lando had sent her pictures from yesterday and today, the first couple days of his testing week. It was a bit chilly in Barcelona according to him, but the sun was shining and he was eager to show her the garage, his car and introduce her to his parents and his team. Dagmar's cheeks flamed at the thought. She was going to be introduced to his parents and it all felt so like they belonged together. She loved it. She swung her shoulder bag over her shoulder after putting something to eat in it. She was taking the highspeed train from Paddington station to London Heathrow Airport, which would still take some time.

Lando said he would pick her up from the airport and then they could have some dinner anywhere they'd like. Dagmar took her stuff after really, really making sure she had everything and then closed her door behind her, locking it and putting her keys behind a zip pocket in her bag to not lose them. She wore some bluetooth headphones to enjoy some music on the way and she had downloaded a few episodes of the serie they were watching. Yes, they. Lando and Dagmar had started La Casa de Papel together and they had been hooked on it since episode one. Lando had sneaked in a few episodes while being alone in his hotel room and she begged him not to spoil anything, because she would catch up with it on the plane. God, it was so girlfriend-boyfriend-y she could puke but at the same time she adored it so much.

Dagmar had called an uber to take her to the train station and she sat in the backseat after he helped her with her luggage. She tapped away on her phone to Sarah, who had texted her with a lot of messages that she wished her a lot of fun in Barcelona, that she wanted to know everything about it when she came back and that she hopes she can bring back a souvenir. Dagmar chuckled, she would surely look for something ridiculous to take back for Sarah. The ride was relatively short and she was dropped off in front of the entrance. Dagmar took her suitcase again and her bag in her other hand. The train was already there and ready to leave in about fifteen minutes. She took a seat in an empty corner with four seats, keeping her luggage close to her. She wasn't accompanied by other passengers throughout the way to the airport, probably because it was a weekday outside of a holiday, even though the international airport is always busy.

When she was settled at her gate with a caramel macchiato, she texted Lando to let him know she would board her flight soon. It didn't take him long to text her back that he nearly couldn't wait to see her again. Dagmar smiled at the heart emoji, they had seen each other four days ago and had texted and called meanwhile, yet they still longed intensively for each other. Dagmar sipped her coffee and looked around at the different people she'd have on her flight and it made her wonder who would sit down next to her. She saw some travelers with Formula 1 merchandise and she could guess why they were flying to Spain right away. The time was finally there for her to get up and in line to board her plane. Her boarding pass was scanned once more and she walked through the gate to the aircraft. She remembered her seat number and her row before folding it and shoving it in her back pocket.

Dagmar pushed her suitcase into the overhead luggage storage and sat down in the middle of the row, friendly greeting her neighbor who nodded at her. The plane took off and she sat back with her headphones on and her phone in her hand to kill the time.

Lando eagerly waited in the arrivals hall of Barcelona El-prat airport. He had pulled the hood of his sweater over his hair and he leaned against the concrete pole that supported the ceiling, he had his phone in his hand in case she would call him, however he had only received a text that the plane had touched down. He watched the people coming from the luggage hall and he guessed Dagmar would be quickly there too as she didn't have to wait for any other luggage. And he was right. His smiled widened when he saw her walking down to him. Dagmar let go of her suitcase to hug him tightly, smiling meanwhile. "I missed you". Lando muttered as he pulled back from her and kissed her lips. "I missed you too". Dagmar smiled before he pecked her lips once more. "Did you have a good flight?". Lando asked while he took her suitcase from her and entwined his fingers with hers for his free hand.

"It was fine, I watched some episodes of La Casa de Papel". Dagmar giggled and his eyes lit up at hearing the bright sound. "That's good, kills some time as well". Lando laughed. "For sure, however the flight wasn't that long". Dagmar replied and they walked out of the automatic doors of the airport to get to the parking lot. "It's about twenty minutes down to the center of Barcelona. There's a nice place around the corner of the hotel, Carlos and I have been there last night". Lando informed, meaning a place to eat tonight. "Alright, everything is fine by me". Dagmar smiled and they made their ways to Lando's car that McLaren Spain had made available for the team for the time they were spending here. There wasn't really much room for a suitcase, however he managed to push it in behind the seats. Dagmar sat down in the passenger's seat and he took the hood from his head, his messy curls exposed.

She couldn't let it but run her fingers through, which made him turn to her with a smile and he leaned over to kiss her lips again. On the way to the hotel, they chatted about their activities of the past days. Dagmar told him about her boring seminars and lectures and she often complained she didn't want to talk about it because he probably didn't think it was interesting, yet he continued to ask her about it. Lando told her about his first day in the car and the pre-testing banter with the team and Carlos while shooting some pictures for the new teamwear of 2020. He explained that Henrik, from their media team, would edit it into a McLaren unboxed video and she'd see soon what he was talking about. Dagmar loved how relaxed he looked, really ready to get into the new season. One hand held the underside of the wheel while his other hand rested on her knee, her nails sometimes tracing his arm while he was speaking. The sun had just set and it wasn't too late yet when they reached the hotel.

Lando parked the car in the private parking section and he turned the engine off before letting the winged doors open. Dagmar got out of the car and took her bag with her while Lando walked to the back and got her suitcase out. They moved through the lobby of the Grand Marina hotel, which was located close to the coast side of Barcelona. Lando guided her to his room and she admired how bright and spacious it was, the large windows giving a perfect view upon the sunset and the sunrise above the sea. "Do you want to head down and go to the restaurant or sit here for a bit?". He asked when she shoved her suitcase in a corner and her bag on top of it. "We can go to the restaurant, I'm quite hungry". She laughed. "Glad, so am I. I had lunch at the track today and that was about it". Lando had a lazy grin on his face. They got out of the hotel room again, making their ways down to the lobby once more and then the exit to walk outside over the pavement. The salty breeze made her think of the last time she had went properly outside of the UK besides Norway, and that was quite some time ago.

"What is it?". Lando asked with a smile when her hand wrapped around his arm as they walked next to each other. "Nothing, I'm just happy". She smiled and he chuckled, pressing a kiss to the side of her head. "I'm happy you're happy. And that you're here". Lando said, his hand trailing down her arm to grasp onto her fingers again, swinging their hands slowly between them. Dagmar felt the heat rise to her cheeks and her heart palpitated a little quicker at what he said. They were kindly received at the restaurant and it was proper busy there, Lando had already explained its popularity among the habitants of Barcelona. They still managed to get them to a table. It was a cute place and they sat closely together at the small table. It made her nearly giggle out loud at the thought that Lando might've sat here the same way with his teammate yesterday. "You know, I really can't wait to show you my office". Lando started after the waiters had taken their orders and brought their drinks.

"Especially because you know F1, you watch it, so I'm curious for your reaction to see it all very up close". He smiled and she smiled back at him. "So am I". She let out a breathy laugh. "I think I'll try my best to not freak out on the inside. Also because of the other drivers I'll probably see walking around". She explained, which made him chuckle too. "Who is your favourite, apart from me, of course". He grinned, making her scoff with a blush. "Well, I have to say Charles Leclerc is very handsome and so is Antonio". She wiggled her eyebrows and a soft pout showed up on his face. "But the most handsome and cute one drives in an orange car". Her heart grew when he watched his face light up, even though they both knew she was just teasing him. "And he happens to have the most wonderful girlfriend". Lando's eyes slightly widened as they looked at each other. If you were dating for quite some time, do you have to ask someone to be your boyfriend/girlfriend or is that an automatic label after some time?

Dagmar didn't say anything, her smile just widened and it assured him that it was okay. She assured him that she's indeed his girlfriend.
