513 days since the virus spread

Two days pass

We decided to leave Colorado and head to California as fast as we possibly could. We made haste to get there, we took all the short cuts we possibly could.

Who knew we could actually get there so fast?

Hiccups included: zombies, gas stops and everything you can think of. We've had our share of struggle.

We weren't really as rushed before, trust me we were, but now it's become an emergency and the amount of importance went up the priorities list. Everyone is stressed now.

Sooooo uhm, we are a just little stressed out.

Even Ray is freaking out, which is actually pretty unlike him. He's become irritable and nippy towards us, but I can understand why. I think he feels guilty and he wants to fix this situation as quick as possible. He's normally the calm one in these kind of sticky situations. For a change, I'm the calmest one.

That says a lot.

Mikey, on the other hand, has become really quiet, but still complaint. He's really been worried, after all he and Frank are really close.

I guess all of us are fragile.

None of us really know how Frank's doing, he's just extremely tired all the time. He sleeps most of the day and barely eats anything. I don't know if it's from his injuries or stress or him turning, I don't know of which one is causing this, we don't know.

I mean, we really don't know.

We can't even reference him to someone to know if he's turning or not, we don't know the symptoms. A brain craving is obvious, but I don't think so.

I wonder if he would actually admit to that?

This is bad, really bad.

The Range Rover speeds past the California sign.

We've been waiting to pass that sign for months now, I can't believe we've actually here now, but I wouldn't have wanted to get here under our circumstances.

After all this time, was it worth it to come here?

In the beginning, Frank and I thought we had nothing to lose by trying to come to California and find the camp, but now things have changed, I have everything to lose now.

Everything.

What if there isn't anything? What if it was just a story that there is miraculous survivor camp in the middle of the no-go zone?

Who knows, maybe this was all for nothing.

Ray looks at the sign on the side of the road and then brings the car to a steadier pass. There are a lot of cars in the road, making it hard to pass. We constantly have to get out and close car doors.

"I got it." Mikey says as he quickly hops out the car to close the gold Audi's door, then gets back in the car.

"Why is all the doors open?" Ray grumbles as he tries to aim the car through narrow gap.
