You were glued to your study table ever since you woke up. Tomorrow was the day you'll sit for the exam and it will be the only chance you can prove to your mother you can live alone.

You promised your mother that if you aced this exam, you'll get an apartment as you already were desperate to leave this house.

You were anxious to live there knowing Jaehyun is a harm to you and Jisung.

Whenever you bumped into Jaehyun in the house, goosebumps would run down your spine, he glared or either shooting death stares at you. He changed a lot after the incident of you walking out of Taeyong's car.

He probably now knew what you know about their relationship with your friends and now you were afraid that he might do anything to any of you just to help Taeyong achieve what he wanted.

You flinched when you heard a rhythmic knock on the door. Knowing it's Jisung's code, you turn to the door, his head peeking through the slightly open door. Cute.

Once he spotted you, he grinned and paddled across the room to your study table, not forgetting to close the door behind him. "Noona~" he sang.

"What happened?" you smile at his behavior. Jisung just patted your head, making you playfully roll your eyes. "Did you really request for us to leave this house if you pass the test?" Jisung asks.

You smiled, knowing he likes the idea too.

Even though he seemed happy at the beginning, he started to feel annoyed whenever the twins would order him to do things, you witnessed that with your eyes a few times.

"Yeah, that's why you have to be nice to me, you cutie." You poked his sides, making him jump. "That's why I brought you these," He pulled out chocolates from his pocket.

Your favorite, KitKat, and Kinder Bueno. "There's more!" He beamed, taking out a carton of milk from his other pocket, You giggled at his way of taking care of you.

"Thank you, handsome" You stuck out your tongue, which made him giggle.

He walked to your bed and crashed himself on it, taking out his phone to play Cell Expansion Wars which he was really addicted to. You ignored the boy and unwrapped the Kinder Bueno, munching while reading the Biology book.

Once you got bored and sleepy, you pushed your chair backward, heading to the bed where Jisung was laying and still playing games, "Park Jisungggg!" You groaned.

Stretching, you landed next to him, left arms spread across the boy's body made him jolt in surprise. "You scared me," He whined.

"Let me sleep for 15 minutes," You mumbled, instantly closing your eyes. "You'll not wake up," He scoffed but you chose to ignore him as drowsiness had already taken over you.

It was later that you were awake by Jisung's aggressive shaking, "Noona!"

You grumbled to his shouting but he gave you no chance to snap out of it when he already pulled you up to the window, "Look!" He pointed to the scene outside of the window.

Rubbing your eyes to wash away the drowsiness, your eyes soon widened.

There's a police car right in front of the porch, dragging both your mum and stepdad with their hands handcuffed.

Cold blood rushed into your body and immediately, you ran downstairs just to witness your other step-siblings, standing at the front door. You noticed the twins were crying.

"What happened?" Your frown grew deeper only for Ah Rin to glare at you, her feet were fast to step in front of you and you felt a stinging pain on your right cheek. You gasped, cupping your burning cheek.

"I've told you! Your mum is breaking our family apart!"

Jisung who came down a bit late managed to witness Ah Rin slapped you, immediately he came to your aid. "Don't touch my sister!" His voice was hard and he was fuming.

It was obvious he was mad and it's the first time for you to see him in this state.

Ah Rin scoffed and immediately stormed upstairs to her room. Averting your eyes to Jaehyun who was standing with his hands in his pocket, you gulped at how sharp his eyes are and you can see his jaw tightened.

You decided it's not the best to ask him, so you ran down the garden to chase after the police car before it drove away.

"Wait! Policeman!" You shouted, Jisung was trailing behind you. Luckily, the police heard you and he turned.

"C-can you tell me what's going on?"

Sighing, the police seemed like he's getting tired of it, probably was questioned by your step-siblings too.

"Your mother was caught helping a man in drug trafficking for a few years and the other man was caught with bribery to cover up your mother's fault."

Your heart dropped into your stomach. Drug trafficking, and right there and then, you know you were in trouble too.

You could be in jail too if the police found out you helped with your dad's business.

And all you could think of was Jisung. Your face was pale and the police took notice of it, he tilted his head. "Are you okay?"

You nodded aggressively and took steps back, words couldn't even be uttered from your mouth. The police then nodded, and stepped into the car, driving off your neighborhood.

You turned to Jisung immediately, your heart drummed against your ribcage. "Park Jisung, pack up right now."

Knowing something was wrong, he gulped and jogged back into the house, complying with your order.

Shit, when everything is just going as you planned, your parents just had to get in the way to make your life more miserable.
