I was at a loss for words. So many questions ran around my brain and sudden dizziness took over me. I felt myself stumble a bit but a pair of hands quickly steadied me, I looked up and met Newt's big, brown eyes staring down at me.

"You alright Greenie?" He sounded genuinely worried. I only nodded in response, still unable to form proper words.

"Alright boys, get back to work. Newt go find wherever Archie stormed off too." The dark-skinned boy bellowed, clearly he had some sort of authority around here.

"What is this place?" I managed although my voice trembled slightly, my palms started to sweat a little.

"The Glade, as I said," he chuckled warmly "My name's Alby, do you remember yours?" He held out his hand for me to shake and I took it cautiously.

"L- lucy." I stuttered, my head was frazzled from everything that I had just taken in and I felt myself get a bit dizzy again. I quickly shook it off.
"Where are we? Where are all the girls? And what's out there?" I pointed to the opening in the middle of the closest walls.

He placed a hand on one of my shoulders soothingly "The box came late today, questions will be answered tomorrow on the tour for now just, chill out a bit." Alby smiled, Newt and who I think is Archie saunter over to us on que.

"Lucy, this is Archie," Alby turned to the boy "Find her a bed, get her food, all the stuff Gus did for you last month." With that Alby turned away from us, Newt soon limped after him but before he did he shot me a warm smile, I didn't give it back. Why would I? I don't know these boys and for all I know they could be planning on killing me.

"Hey... my name's,"

"Archie." I cut him off the boy and he went a light pink colour

"Okay, and yours is,"

"Lucy." I cut him off again, this time he went bright red.

"Okay so do you want too... follow me?" His round grey eyes pleaded with me and I nodded my head. I began trailing after him as he started walking towards the biggest of the buildings.

I couldn't shake the thought that he was familiar, like I had known him from somewhere. If I did I didn't remember. As I was walking behind him I looked him up and down and observed his features. He had curly brown hair and was around 6'0, he looked to be 16 maybe 17. His pale skin tone was complemented by a few moles on his left cheek. Compared to some of the other boys in this place, he was one of the more handsome ones. He seemed to be quite shy and kinda awkward like a little schoolboy.

I took my eyes from Archie and gazed over the 'Glade,' I saw multiple boys working but one of them was just standing there, staring at me.

"Hey Archie," He turned and looked down at me "Who's that." I pointed to the staring boy.

"Oh that's Gally, not a lot of people around here like him so don't let him get under your skin too much." I nodded my head at his explanation and continued to follow him however I couldn't take my eyes off of Gally, what the hell's his problem?

"So this is the homestead, some of us sleep in here but the majority of us sleep anywhere we want," I looked up at him and scrunched up my face at the thought of sleeping outside on the grass, a small laugh comes from Archie "That was my reaction when they told me, you can sleep in here I think there's a bed free near mine... that is if you want to sleep near me I was just thinking seeing as," His awkwardness began to irritate me.

"It's fine, as long as it isn't outside." I offered him a reassuring grin and he relaxed.

"Okay." He breathed out and carried on walking around as he tried to find me a bed. After a couple of minutes, he let out a thankful sigh and pointed to a bed a couple of meters away.

"This one's free and mines just here." The boy gestured to the bed two away from the one that was now mine.

"Thank you." I hinted at a smile as I headed over to my bed and laid down. I stared at the ceiling for a few minutes and Archie took the message that I wanted to chill for a bit so he didn't try and talk to me.

Questions still danced around my head but I was a lot calmer now, the one big question that was bugging me was what was beyond those walls.

"-cy, Lucy." My eyes shot open and I quickly sat up. I saw Archie leaning over me and he jumped back when I sat up, he bumped his head on something and I had to suppress a laugh.

"What happened?" I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and looked out of a window to see it was almost dark outside.

"You fell asleep." He retorted and I dead-panned my face at him as if to say 'duh'.

"I was going to introduce you to Fry and get you food but it's too late now, " I sighed at the realisation that I was actually quite hungry "Come on, the others are setting up for the Greenie party."

"The hell's a Greenie party? And what's a Greenie?" I asked curiously as Archie took my hands and pulled me out of bed, his hand lingered on mine for a second until he let go.

"A Greenie's a newbie, for the last month I was the Greenie but now that's you. A Greenie party is something we Gladers do every month to celebrate the new Greenie." He smiled down at me and I mouthed 'okay'.

"Hey wait up." I half-shouted to Archie who was around a meter in front of me.

"Yeah?" His face was painted with confusion.

"What do I look like?" He gulped loudly and began to speak.

"Flaming red hair, bright blue eyes with specs of gold around the pupil, short as... klunk, probably around 5'3. Really pretty." Archie whispered the last bit but I still heard and it seemed he knew that because he went bright red. I also picked up on the word 'klunk' and the fact that he seemed to force himself to say it as if it was as foreign to him as it is to me.

"Okay." I smiled and walked eagerly past him towards the others. When I got there I was almost instantly greeted by Newt. I reminded myself to speak to him in private later about if he knew anything about me seeing as I had remembered his name before I remembered mine.
