CHAPTER 38: I DARE YOU

(Brandon's POV)

"You're joking wife, right?" Did I heard her right or I'm just hearing things?

"I'm not joking Brandon. Kahit gustong gusto ko ng umuwi ngayon sa Pinas para makabawi sayo--"

"Then come home already!"

"Brandon, I can't do that. I'm sorry. I just can't let this op--"

"F*ck!"

Hindi ko na napigilan magmura dahil sa sinabi niya. Paskong pasko pero ano to? Sasabihin niya na sa January siya uuwi? Just by the thought na magkasa sila nung Hiro na yun ng pasko at ng bagong taon ay mababaliw nako. I want us to be perfect, just me and my wife. No other else in the picture. But how come na ganito? When I'm trying to get things between us to be the way it is, this happens.

I may not be the perfect husband she imagined, but I am desperately trying to be one. We started rough, and I want to sort things out lalo na ngayon at mahal ko na siya.

Natigilan naman ako nang marinig ko ang paghikbi niya sa kabilang linya. Sh*t. "P-pats? I didn't mean to yell at you. It's just that.."

Wala naman na akong choice kasi mahal kita eh, gag* ka talaga! Paskong pasko umiiyak na naman ako dahil sayo!" Patuloy pa rin siya sa pag-iyak at hindi ko alam kung anong dapat kong gawin.

"Shh..Hush wife. I'm sorry. Please, stop crying. I'm not there with you to wipe your tears away. I'm sorry I got frustrated. I just can't bear the thought of you and Hiro together. Just tell me if he does something wrong, okay?"

"Great. Useless phone." Gusto kong ibato ang phone ko. Hindi pala nai-charge! May battery bang long lasting? Makabili nga ng ganun. Badtrip!

"I didn't know you had that side Brandon. You never acted that way to me before. Lucky nerd, but I envy her."

Kahit nakatalikod ako, alam ko na kung sino siya. Krissy.

I turned to face her and she's wearing her annoying crooked smile. Seeing her pisses me off. "Of course, she's my wife."

"Yeah right Brandon. Yun ang akala mo."

I arched a brow and she just smiled at me, "What makes you say that Krissy?"

"Oh you know Brandon, akala mo may hindi ako alam sa inyong dalawa. Hindi ba nakakapagtaka na nagpakasal kayo na walang dahilan? Do you really think na dahil sa mga lolo niyo kaya kayo nagpakasal? That's ridiculous."

"You don't know everything so stay out of it. Stop meddling with us."

"Try me Brandon. Try me. I always get what I want. Don't you know?" With that she left me wearing that same crooked smile on her face.

Tss. She thinks she knows everything? F*ck!

"And by the way Brandon, get ready later."

"Bakla! Tara dun!"

"Dannie! Wag kayong lalayo! Tong batang to! Hoy!"

"Kaps! Tara na! Bawal KJ!"

"Hey! Watch it! Put me down! Put me--!@#$/^&"

It was too late. The next thing I knew was a sound of splash of water and Krissy was clinging around my neck and showed an annoying grin on her face.

Sinubukan kong alisin ang pagkakakapit niya sa akin kaso mas inilapit niya pa ang sarili niya sa akin. "Would you mind?"

"Oh! Tignan niyo at baka may mga kumakapit sa inyong pangit na nilalang! Balita ko pa naman na marami daw ganun dito sa paligid!" Pagpaparinig ni Cheska kaya naman bumitaw na si Krissy sa akin. Buti naman! Humagalpak naman ng tawa sina Cheska at Dannie kaya natawa rin ako sa inasta niya. Dang, the girl got attitudes. I feel sorry for Vince though, her girl is so feisty.

Kinagabihan, naisipan ng mga kasama kong magbonfire at mag-inuman. I don't drink that much pero hindi ko matanggihan ang mga kaibigan ko.

"Hey! How about we play SPIN THE BOTTLE?" Dannie suggested.

"Tch. Lame!" Sabat naman ni Krissy.

"Bakit? May sinabi ba akong kasali kayo? Duh! Paki naman sa inyo?"

"Dannie.." suway ni Vince sa kapatid niya. Stephen got to his feet and seated beside her and held her hand. Is there something I should know about them?

"So let's start! Kung kanino matututok ang mouth ng bottle na ito," she said pointing the bottle in her hand, "siya ang gagawa ng dare. At kung sino ang kaharap niya, siya ang mag-uutos. Okay?"

Interesado naman ang lahat kaya lumapit sila.

Dannie spinned the bottle at tumapat iyon kay Migs. And unfortunately, kaharap niya si Trevor. "Migs! Pano ba yan pare? I dare you to kiss the lips you love the most!"

Natawa naman kaming lahat dahil sa dare ni Trevor. It's obvious that he'll kiss Krissy, the 2 are going out kaya nagbreak sila ni Cheska.

Pero nagulat kaming lahat nang tumayo si Migs at pumunta sa harap ni Cheska.

"Migs! How dare you?!"

"Pasensya Vince." Sabi niya kay Vince at walang pasabi ay hinalikan niya si Cheska.

"Eh gag* ka pala eh!" I saw how Vince strucked his fist against Migs' face. Inawat naman ni Stephen at Pete si Vince, samantalang si Migs ay nakaupo na at halatang nabigla sa suntok ni Vince.

"Ano ba?! Tumigil nga kayo! Kuya! Chill! It's just a dare! Anong magagawa natin kung si Cheska ang hinalikan niya kaysa dyan sa pangit na yan?" Dannie said and pointed at Krissy. Literally, Krissy dropped her jaw. "Move on na, pwede?"

"Potek na lalaki yan. Haish!" I heard Vince muttered under his breath and wiped off Cheska's lips with his handkerchief.

Nagpatuloy ang laro at ngayon naman ay tumapat sa akin ang bote. Unfortunately, si Clarisse ang katapat ko. "Brandon, I dare you...
