Five years before the fire
Tomorrow i start my intern years at Seattle grace hospital but tonight I'm going out and having a drink before I start my long nights of learning and surgery, I currently live at my mother house you could think she's dead but in reality she has Alzheimer's disease
she's currently at a home about 20 minutes away from the hospital. Getting ready to go out I put on a tank top with some jeans and a pair of flats I put a little make up on and head out the door to my old beat up car, I head out the driveway and drive down to the bar that's across from the hospital I walk in expecting it to be empty but there was a really good crowd I go and sit at the bar and order a cocktail with tequila, I hear mans voice beside me
"Can I get a beer please" the mysterious man said in the seat next to me
"Coming up" the bartender said
"You know a cute girl like you shouldn't be alone in a bar like this one" he told me
"I mean you could keep me company if you feel like it" I told him with a smile
"im just a girl here in a bar waiting for something to happen" I tell him
"And I'm just a guy also here in a bar" he also tells me
a few moments pass and I'm in my moms house ripping clothes off a man I barely know drunk off my ass and we do it right in the middle of my "living room" i wake up the next morning late to my first day of being a intern. I throw a pillow on the guy next me to he wakes up from his sleep as I get a robe on
"sorry I'm late to my job you might want to go" I told him
"You know I never got your name I'm Derek" he said to me
"Right Meredith" I said to him shaking his hand
"now when I come back down you probably won't be here so bye" I told him as I run up the stairs to my room hearing the front door shut, I sigh in relief
This day can't get any worse
