Chapter 41

Currently laying on Brian's living room couch "you need help?" I asked sitting up, I heard lots of crashes in the kitchen

"I'm perfectly fine babe" he said back, I got up to go see what actually happened "everything doesn't look fine" i see pans on the floor and maybe a few forks and spoons, I try and help him

"I got this, go back and just leave me alone" he said very harshly, I set what I picked up on the counter and walked away.

A wave of hurt and sadness roamed through my body, I went over to my bag and picked it up "I'm leaving" I told him walking close to the door

"Sarah, that's not what I meant" he tried stopping me

"You wanted me to leave you alone so I am" I told him, I put my hand on the doorknob when he said

"God you are such a child, you cant handle one little thing. I didn't mean to actually leave me alone you know I've had a hard couple of weeks" he yells at me

"Don't start with hard times brian, I know what hard times are" i told him

"Don't pull the cancer card Sarah" he then yelled, I looked at him with disgust

"Now I'm officially leaving, Don't call me or text me, Don't even think about me because I'm done with us now. You do not get to bring up me using my cancer as an excuse" I angrily told him, I officially was able to get out of his apartment I ran out grabbing my phone

"Daddy, Brian and I broke up. Can you please come pick me up" I said into my phone trying not to hear Brian calling after me

I finally sat down at a park bench waiting for my dad, a few moments later of wiping my tears and ignoring texts and calls from him. I then finally get one from my dad I get up walking to his car, I sat in his car closing the door putting my bag in front of me facing away towards the window "do you want to talk about it?" My dad asked

"I just want to go home" I told him

*switching pov*

Standing in the kitchen watching Zola and bailey working on some homework, I see my oldest daughter walk in setting her phone on the table "I don't want to see this again, if Brian rings again go all strictly on him. I don't want to hear or see that asshat again" she said walking into her room, I see derek walk in after her

"What the hell happened" I said, he sighed

"She wouldn't say anything to me, her and Brian broke up" he said, I heard her phone ring again I picked it up to see Brian's name on it with a picture of them I answered it

"Sarah's phone her mother speaking" I said into the phone

"Mrs.grey, can I please speak to Sarah" I heard him beg through the phone

"No, I don't know what happened between you and Sarah. I think you just need to give her space leave her be" I told him

"It was stupid I swear, I was having a rough time and then we started fighting a bit I may have accused her for using her cancer as an excuse" he confesses

"are you serious? What the hell is going on. I understand what you went through but that is nothing what Sarah went through" I yelled through the phone

"I know I'm" I interrupted him

"No, I used to like you and now you've hurt my daughter. leave her alone" I hung up the phone before he could say anything else

"What happened?" Derek asked

"He basically told Sarah that what he went through is worse than her cancer" I told him, I saw something change in him

"Derek, whatever you are thinking stop. He just had surgery not to long ago, we have to think about Sarah not him. She is our number priority" I told him, he seems calm a little bit

"I'm going to go check on her, you stay with Zola and bailey" I kissed his head and walked away towards Sarah's bedroom

I hear sobs coming through her door "Sarah? It's mama can I come in?" I asked, no answer

"Do you want to be left alone?" I then asked, still no answer

"I'm coming in" I opened the door, I see her face down on her bed

I sat down on the side of her bed "baby girl" I rubbed her back, she looked up at me tears stained her face

"I really liked him mom" she cried, she then sat up putting her knees to her chest and head in between her knees

"Can I tell you something?" I asked her, she lifted her head and nodded

"You know before you came to the hospital your dad and I weren't together, he was actually with this nurse you know rose and I never showed it but I was heartbroken when I saw them both together. I felt like a piece of me was broken but I had Cristina help me through it and I'm going to be with you through this one and there will probably be more" I told her, she scooted closer to me I wrapped one arm around her hugging her, I can feel her tears on my shoulder

"It's okay, you will get through it" I told her

"How?" She asked

"One day at a time, you can stay home from school tomorrow and I'll take a day from the hospital we can do anything you want, what would you like to do?" I asked her

"I want to see Brian so bad" she cried again

"I know sweetie,I know" I said, we sat there for twenty minutes when she shot her head up

"Brian" she said

"What?" I said very confusedly

"Brian is here" she got up frantically I followed behind her, i walked out to see Brian and Sarah her hugging I looked at derek I couldn't explain his face gave

"What the hell" I said, I looked at the hugging couple share a few kisses

"Sarah you were literally just crying over him not even five minutes ago" I crossed my arms

"I missed him so much" Sarah said

"You guys weren't even apart for that long" derek explained

"Young love daddy" Sarah responded, Derek looked at me and mouthed 'love'

"Let's leave them be der" I told him dragging him behind me
