Chapter 32

We were both sat on the couch, well I sat on the chair and Brian was on the other side of the room on the couch while my dad was standing infront of the fireplace "so are you going to tell me why you were in the car with Brian?" Dad asked

"we were hanging out" I told him

"Why?" He questioned folding his arms

"At the dinner a couple weeks ago he gave me his number because he wanted to get to know me, he was being polite" I said

"That doesn't explain why you two were kissing" he explained

"That just happened dad" I told him honestly

"How? How the hell did that happen Sarah? How does kissing just happen" he yelled

Brian got up in anger "it happened because she opened up to me, I don't know if you know this about your daughter but to me it looks like she's very hard to open up I don't know what happened in the past but we went to an early dinner today just to talk. She told me about what your wife did and what happened when you met her for the first time that's all, the kiss happened because I let it happen and I don't regret it" he yelled towards my dad

"Okay what the hell is going on in my house" my mom suddenly said in the doorway of the front door

"How much of that did you hear exactly mom?" I asked her

"All of it" she answered honestly

I put my head in my hands in distress, I cannot believe she heard everything Brian told my dad  but the thing Brian said i don't regret it that stuck with me I felt a tingle in my stomach a good tingle like butterflies "get out of my house" my dad yelled towards Brian

"No dad he can stay" I protested getting up

"No, he cannot. I want you to stop contacting my daughter immediately, dont text, call, pick her up from anywhere I want you to drop out of her life" he angrily said at Brian, I looked at Brian with tears forming in my eyes and he looked at me. I saw him grab his keys and walk towards the front door

"No brian please wait" I ran up to him tears streaming down my face

"Sarah, maybe it's for the best I'm sorry and it's true to what I said about the kiss I don't regret it" those were Brian's last words to me then he fled the scene

The door closed "are you happy now?" I yelled at my dad then ran to my room slamming the door shut feeling like the whole house shook, I lay in my bed face down tears wetting my pillow. I felt my heart break I lost the only person I put my trust into, I feel like I lost half of me. I shouldn't feel this way over a boy I met two weeks ago and I just kissed him out of nowhere

I then heard a knock on the door "Sarah can I come in" my dad asked

"No go away you ruined my life" I yelled so clearly

"I'm sorry" he pleaded

"Sorry doesn't cut it" I told him as he walked away from my door, I sobbed into my pillow slowly falling asleep

*switching pov*

"She said I ruined her life Meredith" I put my hands in my head I felt my wife's hand rub my back in comfort and her head on my shoulder

"Daddy" I heard my youngest daughter say

"Hey baby girl" I looked up and saw Ellis holding her bear, she ran up to me and gave me her bear

"Whenever I'm sad I cuddle mr.bear" she smiled

"Thank you" I smiled, i held the bear

"What do you want for dinner little miss" I asked her

"Soup" she said excitedly, I gave back her bear and got up to start dinner

"She'll come around derek, you were just being an overprotective father that's normal I think. I mean I grew up without one and I feel like what you did was great" she told me

"What happened to my dark and twisty wife" I laughed

"She became a mother of a teenager" she laughed as well, I heard a door open I turned around to see Sarah walking in the living room

"Can we talk" I asked, she looked at me and rolled her eyes grabbing her backpack

"Sarah talk to your father" Meredith said

"I don't talk to people who ruined a relationship with the only person I trusted, now if you will excuse me I have a test to prepare for" she said and walked back into her room, I sighed in frustration

"Just make dinner and give her some space" Meredith said walking away

I started stirring the soup and decided to make a salad "hey dad" I heard Zola say

"Hi zozo" I said cutting some lettuce

"Do you work tomorrow?" She asked sitting at the island

"I work everyday Zola, But today I took a day off to spend with you guys" I told her

"Oh, so whatcha making" she asked

"Soup and salad" I told her putting the lettuce in the bowl

"Have you see your brother?" I asked

"He's playing in his room, can I help you?" She asked getting up

"I'd love that thank you" I thanked her, we prepare dinner together and served it in bowls. I got together plate for Sarah then brought it to her room

I hesitated knocking at first but I did it anyways "Sarah, I made soup and salad for dinner it's at your door" I said setting it down on the ground and walking away, I also heard the door open then close I saw the plate was gone. Atleast she's eating the food I make

"Why isn't sissy joining us" Ellis asked

"Sarah, has a big test to get ready for" i answered her questions

"So how was school" I asked, hopefully Sarah will talk to me again I don't want her taken away from me again.
