Chapter 31

The next day after school it's finally the weekend, my parents have back to back surgeries all weekend so the house is empty except for my annoying siblings

Brian- I'll be there in 10

Me- okay I'll see

Brian- trust me Sarah I'll be there

Im currently sitting on a school bench waiting for Brian to show up, my parents don't trust me to have a car because of my past with the whole brain cancer thing I hear a honk. I look up and see a smiling Brian I get up and go into his car "hey" I said getting in

"That bag looks heavy- ow" he said while I accidentally hit him in the head with my bag

"Holy shit I'm sorry" I said, I held his head in my hands looking at the forming bruise

"It's fine" he said looking in my eyes, god those dark blue eyes we both start leaning in when someone pounds on the window I look at who is pounding and it's Mariah, I roll down the wind

"What the hell are you doing" I asked her

"You forgot your homework in 5th period" she said handing me a pamphlet

"Thanks" I take the pamphlet from her hands

"Is that the guy you were talking about at lunch yesterday" she asked

"Goodbye Mariah" I rolled the window up looking at her pout, I've been best friends with Mariah since I came back to school after being in the hospital for so long

"So you told people about me?" He asked pulling out of my school parking lot

"Only Mariah and chase" I told him

"Whose chase?" He questioned

"A guy I met yesterday, we are actually hanging out tomorrow" I said with a sly smile

"Cool" Brian sighed, I think I even saw his jaw move in anger I'll let it go for now

"Anyways, what did you mean by I would like that? Did you mean you'd like being in a relationship? I mean with me?" He questioned

"um. well I don't know how to exactly explain but you are really good looking and I mean GOOD looking, I wouldn't mind showing you off not saying that you are a trophy or something but when I first saw you, you are a lot better looking then any other guy I've seen. But then we started talking that night about what I wanted to do in the future you didn't laugh and think I couldn't do it, you actually believed in me when I told Mariah she literally laughed and then started joking about it for a week straight" I said, he was about to open his mouth again when I stopped in

"I'm not done, when you believed in me I felt like I needed you in my life forever. As a friend or something more but with you being so believable and incredibly nice I don't think I can let you out of my hands, I've had so much taken from me in the past 16 years I've been on earth. I want to tell you but I don't know if I can trust you because I haven't even told Mariah or any of my other close friends" I rambled

"Okay that was just rambles in the last part, how about we get to know eachother first before we get into anything. Then when you are ready you can tell me" he said, he took my hand and squeezed it softly

I blushed at his touch and felt a nice tingle like a spark, we pulled into a restaurant "I'm taking to you to my favorite restaurant and we can talk" he said, he parked the car then we got out

"The gold lantern, sounds? Good I guess" I said walking next to him

We sat down at Brian's apparent favorite booth "so whats good here?" I asked him

"Well I always go with a steak and fries with a side salad" he told me

"I'm not a huge steak fan, mmm the chicken tenders sound fantastic" I said licking my lips

"Picky eater?" He questioned

"Very but I'd try anything so not so picky" I told him

"Then try the Seattle sandwich, it's just a chicken sandwich but it's really good" he told me

"Hello welcome to the gold lantern what can I get for you?" The waiter asked

"Can I get a water and the Seattle sandwich" I said towards the waiter

"Okay and for you sir" he asked

"Medium rare steak with a side of fries and a side salad with a coke" he also told the waiter

"Okay, that will be out soon I'll bring you your drinks" he said then walked away with our menus

"Thank god you aren't a health nut like my dad, my dad would literally kill me if he saw me with a soda" i laughed taking a sip of my water that our waiter just brought over

"Yeah, have you never even had soda?" He asked

"I have but I'm not really supposed to, my parents want me to stay healthy for a very long time" I smiled

"So what's your favorite school subject? I perhaps love my physics class" he said

"Anatomy obviously it's so easy, I'm probably the only one passing" I giggled

"Favorite color?" He asked

"Black, pure matte black" i awed

"I actually like maroon, I don't know why it always has been a favorite of mine" he said

Once our food got here I literally drooled it looked amazing "holy shit this is good, we need to come here more" I told him, I heard him giggle god that giggle I love it

"Letting you know I love your laugh, it's soothing" I flirted

I saw his cheeks blush pink "u-um thank you" he stuttered

"I think I'm ready to tell you something" I said looking in his eyes

"Are you sure?" He asked making sure, he then held my hand giving it a reassuring squeeze

"Yeah" I nodded he nodded as well

"So my mom actually gave me up when I was born, I know shocking but she did it for good a reason. She was an intern and she literally got pregnant with me when her and dad first met then my dads ex wife walked in when she was about to tell him and it all went down hill, anyways when I was five I got in a pretty horrible fire at the orphanage I was at and I ended up at Seattle grace that's when i first met them, I got a couple of burns and I actually had a brain bleed because of a really bad fall I got when exiting the burning building but then it turned into a tumor which was actually was resected, and that's all you get for now" I told him, during the conversation he never let go of my hand, he listened to every word I said and I mean every word I felt like I was being heard for the first time

"Wow, I'm gonna be completely honest here. I didn't think that was going to be that huge, I thought you were gonna be like my dog died or something not huge. I'm actually pretty stunned" he said honestly, I actually giggled

"Also your giggle is very cute" he laughed eating a piece of his steak

I blushed at his comment, once we are done eating we left the restaurant and started heading towards my house "I had a really good time Brian" I told him

"So did I, thank you for opening your book up a smidge" he said, once we got to my house both of my parents were home

"My parents are home, maybe we can do this again sometime?" I asked

"Yeah of course" he said

Before I got out of the car I grabbed my bag and looked into his eyes those dark blue eyes "your eyes are really blue" I said, he laughed

"Thank you?" He said confused

Next thing you know I kissed his cheek I was about to say sorry when we kissed me like ACTUALLY kissed me and I kissed back we were basically making out at this point then I heard a knock on the car window, I broke away and looked at a very angry derek shepherd
