Chapter 35

It's been a long stressful day, I've been avoiding Brian as he's been in the hospital learning from residents to get ready for his intern year in 3 years. It's actually the end of my dads shift "you ready to go?" He asked

"Yeah, let me finish this line for my summer homework" I told him quickly writing down finishing my English summer work

I got up and grabbed my backpack walked out behind my dad looking at my phone "you are gonna run into someone put it away" dad told me, I giggled putting it in my pocket

We made conversation as we walked to daycare to go pick up the little rascals "Sarah, can I talk to you" Brian said behind me, I looked at my dad he nodded I turned around
"Yeah, I'll meet you at the car" I said towards my dad and Brian

I walked away with Brian, we actually went outside into his car "so what did you want to talk about" I awkwardly asked him

"I want to talk about the night we kissed and your conversation with your dad" he told me

"I think the conversation with my dad is none of your business, I know you heard about my cancer and I do not want to talk about it as you heard it wasn't fun. I was seven when it happened ten when it ended and after that I was depressed which is something you don't want to be when you're just ten years old, I was weak and it was just" I couldn't continue, my sobs were just too much Brian took me into his arms and into his lap I laid my head on shoulder

"Hey it's okay you don't have to go on, you are okay now" he comfortably told me rubbing my back, I pulled away wiping away my tears and going back into the passenger seat

"Wouldn't your girlfriend mind that you are here comforting me" i said

"I don't have a girlfriend" he told me, I got my phone out and showed him the texts between us two and he let out a huge sigh

"That girl who texted you is definitely not my girlfriend well not anymore, we dated three years ago and she goes to the same school I go to currently. We studied together yesterday with a group of friends and I guess when she saw that text she got jealous then decided to text that, every girl I've gotten close with she's always been this way. She's really possessive and will not leave me alone" he told me then gave my phone back

"Why can't you just put her in her place?" I asked him

"I've tried so many times she won't leave me alone" he told me

"Now about that kiss" he then said with a smile

"It was actually my first kiss" I told him putting my head down

"Really? I wouldn't have thought that at all" he told me, he held my hand

"I really liked it Brian, when I first thought of my first kiss I thought it was going to be weird and sloppy but it wasn't and I'm really glad about that" I laughed, I got a beep from my phone a text from my dad

Dad- you still coming? Ellis is getting cranky

Me- I'll stay with Brian go home

"I told my dad I'm staying with you" I smiled

"Good because I'm not letting you go again" starting his car and driving away from the hospital holding hands

We arrived at his apartment building and got into his apartment "wow" I said

"Yeah, my mom furnished the whole place" he placed his keys in a bowl, I sat on his couch

"I could live here forever" I propped my feet on the coffee table

"Want something to eat? I can order some take out" he asked getting out his phone

"Can we get pizza?" I asked him

"Anything for you" he flirted, my cheeks blushed pink I picked up his remote turning his tv on

"I ordered two pepperoni pizzas" he said sitting next to me

"What the hell are you watching" he laughed putting his arm around me

"Honestly I have no idea really, I think it's a reality tv show" I said looking at him, he leaned in and kissed me as I kissed him back putting me on his lap still kissing, we kissed for a very long time not knowing what was happening on the tv before I knew it the door knocked I got off of him and got the pizza then set both of them in front of us

"So we kiss then once food appears I'm like a ghost" he laughed

"Food over kissing always" I told him, Brian put Netflix on and starting watching parks and recreation we had a really good time together I could get used to this

I looked at my phone and it was 11pm "shit I have to get home" I said grabbing my bag

"Can you drive me home?" I asked him, he nodded getting his shoes on and grabbed his keys we walked out together holding hands then got into his car speeding off to my house

We got into the drive way "isnt your dad upset with us?" He asked

"Probably with you, but we currently are okay" I told him

"I trust you" he said, I leaned over and kissed his cheek then got out of the car running to the front door

I got inside and my parents were on the couch watching tv

"This is a first? I haven't see you too watch tv in years" I said, they looked at me

"Hey your home, did you guys make up?" Mom asked

"Yeah, are you guys weirded out that I'm with a guys five years older than I am" I asked them

"I've known Brian since he was ten, I know he wouldn't hurt you at all" dad told me, I walked into to my room and laid on my bed thinking of the great night I had
