Fred and Emmeline spent way more time together than usual due to Angelina and George having an increase of dates. This was possibly because it was now February, the month that held valentine's day. Emmeline had other things on her mind: the second task.

"I've found a charm that puts a bubble over your nose and mouth," said Fred, unfurling the page and pushing the book towards Emmeline.

"Can you breathe in a bubble?" Emmeline asked sceptically.

Fred grinned. "There's only one way to find out. To the prefect bathroom!"

"But Fred, you're not a prefect!"

"Do you think I let little inconveniences like that stop me?"

Moments later, Fred was filling up the swimming pool sized golden tub.

"Are you going to leave then?" Emmeline said, her hands on her hips, once the bath had ran.

"Why?" Fred's faint brows were furrowed in confusion.

"I am not taking my clothes off infront of you!"

"What? Oh, oh no I was just thinking just dip your face in and then use a drying charm-"

Emmeline blushed a furious shade of red. "Yes, yes I was joking obviously, it was a joke I was in fact thinking that too."

Fred smirked. "Course you were."

Fred reiterated the bubble charm to Emmeline. She copied and a bubble appeared over her nose and mouth like a mask. Submerging in the water, Emmeline inhaled deeply. Breathing under water felt impossible - but nothing was impossible in the wizarding world. A smile spread across her face. She had a solution to the second task!

Her hair was darker from the water and she was so excited she didn't even realise it was dripping all over her cloak. Fred took care of the situation with a wave of his wand. Emmeline's expression was unphased, her smile not wavering in the slightest.

"I'm ready. I'm so ready, Fred. This is it. I'm going to win. And when I've won I'll buy me and Daisy a house. And probably like take you and Angelina on holiday to say thank you. Actually, George better come too because if you're there and his girlfriend that's awkward poor George- Fred why are you looking at me like that?"

Emmeline halted her rambling after noticing Fred was gazing at her with nothing but awe blossoming in his eyes. Fred blushed, knowing he had been caught. His eyes fixed on the tiled flooring of the Prefect bathroom.

"Nothing."

Emmeline's faint eyebrows knitted together. She didn't believe him. "Fred, what is it?"

"Just you."

"What about me?"

"Everything. Everything about you, just, works you know?"

Emmeline slowly shook her head. "No, I don't know."

"Basically, I'm proud of you."

Another smile appeared on Emmeline's face and her eyes were almost shining. "None of this was me. It was all you. I have no idea where I'd be if you had gave up on me. I mean, I'd probably be still trying to get the golden egg off the dragon. And of course I'd still be wearing that ridiculous Veronica oufit."

"We did this together. We made this all work together."

Emmeline took a step closer to Fred. She had to, she couldn't bear being apart from him for any longer. She had to touch him. Her breath hitched. "Is it okay if I kiss you now?'

Fred did his signature lopsided smile. "What was that, Walsaw?"

Emmeline flushed pink. "You heard me. Weasley."

Fred leaned in and their lips were almost touching. Her eyes fell shut. "No."

Emmeline's eyes fluttered open. "What?"

"No."

Emmeline's heart sank. Had Fred stopped liking her? Did he only see her as a friend now? She couldn't continue friendship, feeling how she felt now. She had never felt like this before. Not even about Cedric.

"I'd like to take you out first," Fred said.

Emmeline burst out laughing.

"But I can't do that until youve succeeded the second task."

"What a good incentive."

*

Emmeline was grinning ear to ear as she pushed open the door to her dorm.

"Why are you so happy?" Angelina pried. She was sprawled on her bed, studying a Charms book.

"We did it! We found a Charm that let me breathe under water. Also, Fred asked me out." She said the last part so quietly it was barely a sentence.

Angelina smirked. "What was that?"

"We found a Charm-"

"Not that bit. The bit about Fred."

"Oh. That. Well, you see. He said he would take me on a date after the second task..."

Angelina squealed so loudly Emmeline's ears nearly split. Suddenly, there was a higher decibel that contributed to the cacophony. Daisy appeared out the bathroom.

"What are you doing here, this literally isn't your dorm?" Emmeline quizzed.

"Forget that! You're going on a date! I knew you liked him!" Daisy proclaimed triumphantly.

"After the second task," Emmeline reminded her. She felt vulnerable and exposed. But she kind of liked it. For once, she wasn't the one getting excited about other people's love lives.

"We need to decide what you're going to wear," Angelina gasped, flying over to her trunk and ripping open the lid.

"I think we have more pressing issues on our hands-"

"What's more pressing than your fashion sense?" wondered Angelina, holding up one of her favourite dresses up to Emmeline's physique.

"Oh I don't know..." Emmeline pretended to think. "How about the tournament?"

"No, we're bored of that now. We want to think about Fred and Emmeline."

Fred and Emmeline. It had a nice ring to it.
