Chapter 13

Jaden August

"No ma, quit. I'm fine." Jalen whispered

"You're loud you're gonna wake up Jaden" I heard his mom say

"She's fine" Jalen said as I heard the door shut

"Scoot over baby" he whispered

"What time is it?" I mumbled

"12:30" he said as he snuggled up to me

"Are you drunk or high? The fuck you coming home at this time?" I said as I got up to turn on the light

"No baby, turn it off" he said as he put the cover over him

"Jalen what were you doing?" I said

"I was with Josh, chill out" he said

"Why couldn't you have texted me or called me?" I semi yelled

I had to remember we were in his mamas house

"We were playing 2k and then his cousin came in with a bottle and we drank some" he said with his eyes closed

"Who dropped you off at home?" I asked

"Can we talk in the morning please?" he mumbled

"Yeah" I said as I grabbed my phone and my charger, and I went downstairs

"Hey baby, what you doing up?" Momma asked me

"I can ask you the same thing" I said as I laughed

"Ima sleep down here, if that's okay with you. I really don't wanna be next to Jalen. I don't want to do something I regret." I laughed

"You can sleep down here" she said as he smiled

"He was drunk?" she asked

"Yeah. Does that mean anything?" I asked as I looked at her

"Don't jump to conclusions, he usually tell me what happens like why he drank. But most of the time its because he did something. I'm not saying he cheated on you or anything, I'm just simply saying he might have did or said something he regretted." She said as he held my hand

"Do you think he cheated on me? He said that Josh's cousin was there." I said

"Simone?" She said with her eyebrow raised

"No isn't that his cousin? I met her at footlocker" I said now as I started shaking

"Come here baby. Its okay. Just talk to him in the morning okay. Don't think too much about this when you don't have all the information about it. You're gonna be okay." She said as she laid my head on her chest

"I love him a lot. I don't know what I would do if he did cheat on me." I whispered

"He loves you so much. I don't think he's capable of doing that." She whispered back

And with that I fell asleep. I could feel her get up and put my head on one of the pillows. I was about to knock out but then I felt a cover get put over me.

I woke up and I was laying on the couch. Then all the memories started coming back to me.  Did he cheat on me?

I went up stairs to get clothes so I can take a shower but in the guest bathroom. I really don't wanna see Jalen right now. When I went in Jalen's room he was still knocked out. Perfect.  I grabbed a stripped blue white and yellow long sleeve crop top, high waisted shorts, with my all white vans. I tipped toed out his room to take a shower. I cleaned myself and I got dressed in the bathroom. I just let my hair do whatever it wanted to do. I didn't even care if it looked good or messy because even when its messy it looks good. If you know what I mean. I used one of the toothbrushes that when you wet them, they already got toothpaste on it. I was really avoiding seeing Jalen.
