You woke up in what you could only assume to be a hospital bed. It smelt too clean to be your room and from what you could remember that guy in the alley really did a number on you for someone with no quirk. Well..to give yourself some credit you couldn't use yours then either.
The door opened as a nurse came in, reading from a clipboard. She saw you where awake and called something outside the door. Your parents barged past her and rushed to your side.
"Y/n? Honey are you ok?" Your mum sounded panicked and your dad looked exhausted.
"Yeah mum I'm good. What day is it? What happened to that dude? Is Otis ok?" The events of that night flashed through your mind."Otis is fine honey, a bit scratched up but he's doing better than you by the looks of it." You let out a sigh of relief as your dad gripped your hand "I'm afraid you missed your first day...and your second day too" he looked slightly sad"...and I guess your third day now" he said as he looked at the clock.
"And you'll have to stay here for the rest of the week" the nurse said "you lost a lot of blood so you need to rest but you'll be good to go home on Saturday. Just take it easy from now on kiddo. You already came here once with cut up legs didn't you?"
You where embarrassed by what the nurse said. But couldn't stop thinking about how Otis had saved your life.
"I'll have to buy some treats for him..he saved my life." You whispered.
"He also alerted us of the problem" you looked up to see a police officer leaning in the doorway. "When we saw a beat up, limping dog we knew something wasn't right. He wouldn't stop barking at us until we followed him to you" you couldn't believe it.
"We do have some questions about the attacker. Unfortunately he slipped away so we will need a report on what he looked like, what he was wearing, etcetera... so that will keep you busy for the rest of the time you're here."
You couldn't believe that you'd miss your first week of hero training. "I hope I don't miss too much."
————————
Unfortunately you missed quite a bit. Within the first week you had missed the opportunity to show off your quirk in a physical examination, the school was broken into by reporters and a large fight with a group of villains broke out on a class trip. Typical.
Though when Monday rolled around and you had given your account of the attacker, spent quality time with your husky saviour and healed successfully you couldn't be more excited to start at your new school.
A scruffy looking man called Mr Aizawa had come to visit you in hospital and told you to find him in the faculty office within the school before heading to your classroom on Monday. He wanted to personally introduce you to the class himself and to explain why your desk was empty for a week.
————————
You knocked on the door and opened it cautiously, seeing the tired man sat in a sleeping bag at his desk. You stifled a laughter before he came to greet you at the door and he walked you to your classroom.
It wasn't as difficult to find as you had thought. They where by far the loudest class you had ever heard. And you where still only stood in the corridor with Aizawa. He sighed as you flattened your skirt down and adjusted your hair before he slid the door open. The class silenced. They knew exactly what was going on, after all a speech was made to the class about your absence on the first day and there was a record on the news about the incident.
"OMG l/n! I saw the news report are you ok? Also I'm so glad you're in this class!" Uraraka ran towards you. Iida stood up from his desk about to head over to you but Aizawa told everyone to sit down and motioned you to stand next to him at the front of the class. Your e/c eyes met fiery red ones as you glanced to Bakugo who was slouched over in his chair. You raised a hand briefly to him and he looked away and gazed out of the window. You fiddled with your hands as your homeroom teacher explained your absence for anyone who hadn't seen it on the news.
