Swiper (Bakugo X reader)

Chapter twenty three: true test of courage

After an eternity of training hard both your class and class 1-B where forced to gather around an outside area of fire pits and picnic tables laden with an array of vegetables and various ingredients.

One of the four wild wild pussycats group was laughing at the collection of run down students. Her name was Ragdoll, she had long green hair and wore a yellow version of their matching outfits. 'She looks kinda crazy...' you thought to yourself as you slumped over from exhaustion.

"Yesterday we made the food for you but today you won't have much luck! You'll be making your own food from now! Starting with curry!" She laughed.

You all set about your tasks. Peeling potatoes, dicing carrots and Todoroki lit the fires. Katsuki also tried to light one of the fires with an explosion. Sadly he put too much power into it and the whole area was charred.

He stalked away from his mess angrily as you laughed behind him. Surprisingly though he wasn't an awful cook. He knew his way around a knife, confident and precise movements that where almost too fast to see. Gotta love a man who can cook.

The curry itself was atrocious. The vegetables where overcooked and mushy, the sauce was way too salty and the rice was almost raw. Despite its horrible effect on your tastebuds you ate your fill. To exhausted to throw it back up.

A test of courage was arraigned for all students. Class A would have to make their way through the dark forest in teams of two whilst class B would be trying to scare class A. You al picked a slip of paper with a number on it out of a hat. Your piece of paper read eight, which means you would be going in last with your partner who you found out was the one and only broccoli boi Midoriya.

"Oh hell no! Deku swap with me!" Katsuki yelled as he stomped towards you. "I don't wanna be in a team with that bastard!" He pointed his thumb over his shoulder at Todoroki.

'Teaming up with Katsuki? I could hold his hand...' you zoned out for a second before embarrassing yourself back to reality. You where about to ask Midoriya if you could swap to team up with Katsuki but Pixie-Bob interrupted you.

"Sorry but the teams you chose are final! No swapping! Sorry little girl!" 'That must be payback for when I called her an old woman.' She giggled menacingly. Both you and and Katsuki glared at her whilst she skipped away.

"Lesson one: don't pick a fight with the person that makes the rules." Todoroki mumbled as he stepped next to his angry teammate. "We're up next Bakugo. Come on."

You waved gently at the angry boy as he sulked off into the dark forest with Todoroki trailing alongside him. "Did you want to be in a team with Kacchan?" Midoriya asked you.

"W-well he's my friend! Didn't you want to be teamed up with anyone in particular? Oh I know... you probably wanted to be with Ochaco right?" You asked him whilst wiggling your eyebrows.

"W-what? Uraraka? Why would I..." he trailed off in embarrassed mumbled as he twisted his fingers together. Even though you made the joke at his expense you felt bad watching him squirm awkwardly and decided to change subject.

"I wonder where Kota hides away. He's always disappearing seeing as he doesn't like anyone too much."

"It's not that he doesn't like people." Midoriya started, forgetting his previous flustered state. "He just hates hero's...and quirks in general. It's not my place to say why but..."

"I'm guessing his parents died or something along those lines...that's why he's living with the Pussycats right?"

"W-what? How did you know!" He looked shocked.
