Chapter eighteen: study buddy

"Please Katsuki!"

"No way! Go ask one of your friends."

"But you ARE one of my friends!"

You pleaded loudly to the grouchy boy, begging him to help you for the upcoming exam.

"Katsuki you're one of the smartest in class! You have to help me! If I fail this exam I won't be going on the class trip this summer!" you mock cried to him as he angrily groaned and tried to shoo you away.

"At least come with me to Momo's house after school tomorrow. When I asked her she said she'd be more than happy to help me but then loads of people asked if they could come!"

"And that's my problem because?" He growled at you, shoving his hands deeper into his pockets.

"It's your problem because she'll be busy helping other people so I won't get the help I need and then you'll be alone at camp whilst I'm stuck taking summer lessons!" You flung your arms around dramatically. You also secretly wanted to spend more time with him but you'd never admit that.

He groaned loudly, rolling his head around on his shoulders before slumping over and letting out a defeated sigh. "Text me her address then. Maybe I'll come over for an hour or something if it will shut you up." He rumbled, stalking away faster from you.

"Yay! Thank you, you won't regret it!" You clapped your hands together and bowed deeply to show your gratification.

He scoffed and whacked the top of your bowed head lightly before turning down the street that belonged to him. "I might stay for longer than an hour if you bring Otis." He laughed as he walked down his street away from you.

You saluted to him playfully before waving and jogging back to your house to get a long nights rest.

You stood awestruck In front of the main gates of Momo's estate. You knew her family was well off, but you never expected her to be filthy rich. Personally, for you the giant gates where a tad over the top. Otis panted by your side, wagging his tail as always as your finger hovered over the doorbell.

"Are you going to ring it or are you just going to stand there awkwardly?"

You whipped around to see a tired looking Todoroki waltzing towards the gate. "Oh Todoroki, hey! I was taken back a bit by the big expensive gate. So I was a little scared to ring the bell." You nervously laughed at him scratching the back of your neck.

Todoroki took his hand out of his jeans pocket to let Otis sniff it before he crouched down and slowly stroked the Husky's muzzle. "Well it isn't that big of a gate. Our estate has a bigger one." He stated.

"Well sorry, Mr 'I buy everything with my daddy's credit card.' Besides you have a bigger gate than this? This is like...twice my height! Endeavor must be compensating for something." You mumbled. Clapping a hand over your mouth after realising what you had said.

The crouching boy stifled a laugh as he stood again. He smiled at you and shook his head before he rang the doorbell for you.

You exchanged small talk as the gates swung open. Momo met you at the door with a smile. Her raven coloured hair was pulled back into a neat ponytail as always. She led you down multiple corridors before opening up a double set of doors into a large room with a wide, polished, oak table.

Denki was already sat at the table looking uncomfortable with tears in his eyes and Jiro shouted the same question at him over and over whilst violently pointing at the textbook in front of him.

When he saw you walk through the door he shot up, tears streaming down his face as he jumped at you. "Y/n! Help me please! Jiro is being mean!" He yelled out. You sidestepped behind Todoroki as the electric boy fell right past you, out into the hallway.
