Two Idiots In Love - Reddie

Chapter 2

Richie's POV

When we got to my house we leaned our bikes against the wall round the side. I opened the front door, going in first then closing it again behind Eddie.

"Richie is that you?" We heard my mum call from the kitchen.

"Yeah and I brought my spaghetti over too!" I shouted back to her, earning a light shove on the shoulder from Eddie who had turned red from me referring to him as my spaghetti.

My mum emerged from the kitchen with her apron. "Oh hello Eddie dear, how are you?"

"Hello Mrs. Tozier, I'm alright thanks. How are you?" Eddie replied in a sweet voice.

"I'm doing great thank you. Also you can call me Maggie not Mrs. Tozier, you don't have to be so formal to me dear."

"Alright I will, Maggie."

"Good, what you boys up to now?" Mum questioned looking at both of us now.

"Well I was going to beat little ol' spaghetti here at mortal kombat" I said grinning at my mum and Eds.

"I think you mean losing to me" He said smirking.

"Oh is that right Eds?" I said now fully looking at Eddie, who rolled his eyes at me.

"Alright well dinner is in a couple of hours, Eddie are you joining us?" she asked turning to Eddie.

"If you don't mind me staying."

"Of course not dear."

"Well in that case, can Eddie sleepover?" I asked in my nicest voice.

"Of course he can, as long as Eddie wants to and his mum is okay with it." my mum said looking back at Eddie.

"Yeah I'd love to thanks Maggie, I'll call my mum now." Eddie said smiling brightly at my mum and then at me.

"Great well have fun and tell me when you come down again if you can stay, alright?"

"Alright thanks"

"Come on Eds." I said grabbing his hand and pulling him up the stairs to my room. I opened the door going over to my bed to put my bag down and take my towel out (Eddie doing the same), I took both towels to the bathroom to hang them up on the rail to dry. When I got back I closed the door behind me and noticed Eddie had put our bags on the floor by my desk which he was sitting at looking at the phone. "So can you stay over?" I said with hope evident in my voice as Eddie turned his head to look at me.

"Yeah, she says I can stay the night and to be back by 12pm at the latest tomorrow." He said with a smile forming on his face.

"Great!" I grinned at him. "So we can play Mortal Kombat now and then after dinner we can watch movies till we want to go to bed!" I exclaimed happily to him. To which he smiled even wider. "Alright, so I'll set it up while you make yourself comfortable on the floor in front of the TV."

I went over to the TV to set up the game, when it was ready I grabbed two controllers and went over to Eddie and handed one to him as I sat down next to him on the floor. We then played until my mum called us down for dinner. Overall Eddie had won the most rounds, so he was boasting about that to me as we went downstairs and joined my mum at the dining room table.

After dinner, which was delicious, me and Eddie went back upstairs to my room to set up the movies. I made a place to sit on the floor in front of my bed using blankets and pillows making it as comfy as possible for us and getting the snacks which I had hidden, I also turned on the lamp next to my bed and turned off the main light while Eddie picked out a few films for us to watch out of the collection I keep next to the TV.

"Alright I've finished with my task, what films have you picked?" I asked while making myself comfortable on the blankets.

"I picked Bill and Ted, The Hitcher and Gremlins." Eddie said looking over at me from where he was.

"Ooh excellent choices, put Bill and Ted in first and save the horrors for last." I told him to which Eddie then turned back to the TV and put the film in, setting down the DVDs next to the player. When he had done that he came and sat down next to me, pulling a blanket over the both of us. When we were had both gotten comfortable I pressed play on the movie and turned my attention to the TV.

After the film had ended I swapped out Bill and Ted for The Hitcher and sat back down in the same spot, through the film we got peckish and shared some of the snacks I had layed out next to us. When the film ended, I went and swapped out The Hitcher for Gremlins and we both in turn went to the bathroom. When I got back Eddie was already snuggled up under a blanket waiting for me and looking so adorable, to which I had to take a moment to appreciate before sitting down next to him and stealing some of his blanket. Not five minutes into the movie Eddie moved to rest his head on my shoulder and lean into me which made my heart beat so fast I thought it was going to burst.

"You tired?"I asked him softly so I wouldn't disturb him too much.

"A bit" he mumbled out whilst snuggling up to me even more.

"Okay after this movie I'll lend you some clothes to sleep in so you can get changed in here and I'll change in the bathroom, alright?" I softly said to him. I then felt Eddie nod yes in response agreeing to the arrangement I made. I then moved my shoulder down a bit so that I was resting my cheek on top of Eddie's head and he was lying into me more. We stayed in that position throughout the whole of the movie and when the film ended I turned of the TV using the remote and we stayed situated on the ground for a few more minutes until I felt Eddie starting to move. Once he was sitting up I stood up and took Eddies hands in mine, pulling him to his feet, I dragged him to the side of the bed pushing him back slightly so that he was sitting down.

I picked up the pillows off the ground and put them on the bed and made my way over to the wardrobe to grab two shirts and two pairs of pajama bottoms which we can sleep in. I gave Eddie one of each and went to the bathroom to get changed while Eddie got changed in my room.

When I got back Eddie had changed and was on his side of the bed which was the side he always slept on when he stayed the night, which was often. I threw my clothes I just had on in a pile on the floor by my desk. I then got in my side of the bed getting comfy under the covers turning to face Eddie who was already facing me. We talked for awhile about random things, until I noticed Eddie starting to doze off.

"Night Eds" I said in a soft voice as I briefly turned over to turn my lamp off and place my glasses on the nightstand.

"Night Rich" Eddie said in a sleepy voice smiling at me before closing his eyes and drifting off to sleep. Even without my glasses on I can still make out Eddies cute lil face which I adore so much. I'm left with that image in my head as I too drift off to sleep.
