Two Idiots In Love - Reddie

Chapter 3

Eddie's POV

I woke up to the sound of an alarm beeping, I open my eyes slowly, blinking a few times to wake myself up. I look over at Richie and see him turning the alarm off and putting his glasses on, when he turns back around facing me he lays his head back down on his pillow. He always looks so gorgeous in the morning, with his hair messier than normal from him sleeping on it. Just the sight of him makes my heart race.

"Morning Eds" Richie said smiling at me.

"Morning Rich" I said smiling back at him. "What time is it?"

"It's 9am, thought you'd want to sleep in a bit seeing as how tired you were last night."

Aww that was sweet of him, he's always looking out for me. "Thanks, I was tired 'cause of how late we stayed up."

"No problem Spaghetti, you can always count on me."

"Don't call me that!" I said slightly annoyed. I'm never going to admit to him that I actually like the nicknames, or tell him how it makes my heart flutter. He'll just tease me like he always does.

"Aw you're so cute when your angry." he said smirking at me whilst reaching over to pinch my cheek.

"Stop that!" I say while smacking his hand away from my face, which justs make him laugh at my reaction. "You're so annoying!"

"But you love me." he says with a smirk while retracting his hand.

So he doesn't see me blushing at his last comment, I roll out of bed and head to the door so I can go to the bathroom, without saying a word.

"Aw no Spaghetti, don't leave me!" Richie says with a sad sounding voice.

When I reach the door I turn around to look at Richie, who has sat up from his position and is looking at me with sad eyes. "I'm going to the bathroom. I'll be back shortly you drama queen." I said with an amused tone. I then turn back to the door, open it and head to the bathroom.

When I've finished using the toilet and brushing my teeth with the spare toothbrush I keep here for when I stop over, I head back to Richie's bedroom to see him lying back down in bed, back turned to me. So I quietly walk over to Richie's side of the bed and jump on top of him, which makes him jump and turn to look at me. When he realises it's me his shocked expression changes to a light chuckle. Which makes me laugh.

"Wow, good one Ed's. You actually scared me, I was not expecting that!" He says still sounding a bit shocked from the scare. But he still manages to smile at me and make me feel all flustered.

"I thought I'd get you back for the nicknames." I say still laughing lightly. I realise I'm still on top of him, so I get off and sit cross-legged on my side of the bed.

Richie then moves to sit up facing me. "So did you want to stay for breakfast, then do something afterwards?"

"Yeah, sounds good, but remember I have to be back by 12pm. So we only have about two and a half hours." I say with a serious tone.

"Alright, in that case, I'll go brush my teeth and get changed in the bathroom and you get changed in here while I'm gone." He says while moving to get up. He goes over to his wardrobe to pick out some clothes to wear today, when he's done that he goes over to the door closing it on his way out.

I get up and go over to where I left my clothes from yesterday throwing them on, I borrow some of Richie's pants so that I'm not wearing the same pair two days in a row. I'm sure he won't mind. When I'm dressed I go over to sit on Richie's bed and not a minute after that he comes back in holding his pj's and our towels. He hands me my towel which has now dried and I go over to my bag to put it in there and leave it by the door so I remember it.

"Okay, let's go get some breakfast." Richie says enthusiastically walking over to his door, motioning for me to follow him.

After breakfast, which was a bowl of cereal and a glass of apple juice, we both went back upstairs to Richie's room. I looked over at his clock and saw that it was 10:45am so I had an hour and 15 minutes before I had to be back home.

"So do you wanna play a few rounds of Mortal Kombat before you have to go?" Richie said while closing his door and turning to look at me.

"Yeah sure, we just have to make sure that I get back on time." I replied going over to sit in the same spot on the floor as I did yesterday.

"Don't worry, we'll only play a few rounds." Richie said while going over to set up the game.

We both got so invested in the game that I forgot to check the time, I looked down at my watch and saw it said 11:50am. "Oh shit, I've gotta go, I only have 10 minutes to get home." I rushed out while standing up and going over to grab my bag I left by the door.

"Oh ok, I'll see ya later Eds." Richie said sounding disappointed.

"See you Richie." I said looking back over to him and giving him a small smile before rushing out of his room and out of the house as fast as I could. I grabbed my bike from round the side of the house and got on it and started pedalling as fast as I could to get home.

When I finally reached my house I stopped my bike on the path, I looked down at my watch and saw it said 12:05pm. Shit I'm five minutes late. I quickly got off my bike dumping it on the front lawn and open the door closing it behind me.
