Richie's POV

I wake up to the sound of my alarm beeping, I roll over and turn the alarm off, I rub my eyes while sitting up and put my glasses on. I look over at the clock, 9am. I set it last night after I spent the day thinking things over after the talk I had with Stan. The plan for today is to persuade Eddie to hang out with me and the others today.

I get up out of bed and make my way over to the door to go to the bathroom. After I'm done in there I go back to my room to get dressed, I then go over to my desk sitting down in my chair. I pick up the phone holding it to my ear as I dial Eddie's number. It rings a few times before he answers.

"Hello?" I hear Eddie say in a sleepy voice.

"Hey Eddie!" I enthusiastically say to him, I missed not talking to him yesterday.

"Hey Richie. What's up?" I hear him say through a chuckle.

"How are you feeling today?"

"I'm alright thanks."

"Good! Did you want to hang out with me and the others today?" I say with hope evident in my voice.

"Yeah, sounds great." he says with a cheery tone. I smile widely at that, just hearing him happy is enough to brighten up my day.

"Well good! I'll ring the others now. How about we meet at 11am at the quarry?"

"Yeah, I can do that."

"Good. Well I'm glad you're alright and I'll see you soon Eds!"

"Thanks. I'll see you Rich." he says before hanging up the phone. I'm so glad that he agreed to hang out today. Alright I just need to call the others now before I do anything else.

I then call everyone asking if they're free and they all say yes! I get up out of my desk chair to go have breakfast before I have to leave.

Time skip to 11am

I just got to the quarry. I go over to where we normally leave our bikes and everyone's bike is already there. I leave it next to the others and make my way through to the other side. I make it out on the other side and don't see anyone. I look down at where we sit when we get out of the lake and everyone's there sitting in a circle talking. I can see there's a gap between Stan and Eddie.

I make my way down to them, Eddie's the first one to spot me. He looks up at me and smiles, which I return.

"Hey Spaghetti!" I loudly say still looking at him. I see his cheeks turning red at my sudden outburst.

"Don't call me that!" he says looking down trying to hide his smile. I go over to him and plop myself down in the gap they made for me, making sure to sit close to Eddie. I look around at the others who are all looking at me now.

"Hey guys!" I say looking at each of them with a smile. They each say hi back to me then go back to their own conversations they were having before I interrupted them all. I turn my head to face Eddie who's already looking at me.

"Hey Eds, I missed ya!" I say with a smile.

"I missed you too." he says, smiling back to me. Which makes my cheeks heat up to match Eddie's. "What did you do yesterday?"

"Not much, I stayed in." I casually say, trying to hide the fact that I spent the whole day figuring out my feelings for him.

"Oh why's that?"

"I didn't really feel like going out yesterday. I had a lot on my mind."

"Like what?" he curiously asks, looking intently at me. I start to panic when he asks me that, I can't tell him the truth.

"Oh nothing. Don't worry about it." I say trying to shake him off. I'm not ready to tell him how I feel yet so I quickly think of something to say to distract him. "So guys, did you want to play a game?" I ask grabbing everyone's attention as I look around the group. I can still see Eddie looking at me out of the corner of my eye.

"Yeah sure. How about Never have I ever?" Bev suggests with a smile on her face.

"S-sounds good." Bill replies to her.

We then play Never have I ever for awhile, the game thankfully distracting Eddie from questioning me further.

1 hour 30 min time skip.

When we've had enough of the game we break out into random conversations. Bill then speaks up grabbing everyone's attention.

"G-guys, my p-parents are gone f-for the weekend and G-georgie is staying at his fr-friends house for a sle-epover, so d-did you all w-want to stay over?" he asks looking around at everyone. We all agree to it, knowing our parents won't mind, except Eddie. I look over at him.

"Can you come?" I ask, hoping that he can.

"I don't know. I'll try and persuade my mum to let me, but I don't know for sure right now." he said with a sad voice. Everyone nodded their heads at him in understanding.

"Alright. Can you call me after and tell me how it goes?" I ask him with a sad tone to my voice.

"Yeah I will. I'll call you Bill as well to let you know if I can come or not." He says looking from me to Bill when he says that.

"A-alright, I hope y-you can. It w-won't be the same w-without you." He says giving Eddie a small smile. I agree it won't be the same if he can't come.

"Thanks." Eddie says smiling back at Bill.

"Alright well it's 2pm, so should we start heading home for tea?" Stan asked looking round and stopping at Bill.

"Y-yeah, I'm starving." Bill says, while getting up. Everyone follows and stands up. We all walk through the wood to our bikes and split off in our directions home. I ride down the road between Bill and Eddie. We get to my house first where I say a final goodbye to them before heading inside after leaning my bike against the wall.

Here's the next chapter I thought of after I had a three day break. I didn't know how to continue it after the last one, that's why it took so long. Hopefully the next chapter won't take as long, anyway I hope you're enjoying it and I'll see you in the next chapter.
