The new episode is out. It's been ages, and I only just realise that I'll have to edit the story to say Janus instead of Deceit... Nah, I'll just do that when I'm finished the story - probably never, then. Anyways, I thought that considering all of the Logan and Patton angst already, it's perfect to add some Remus angst. I'm so cruel, aren't I?
Remus knew he was falling apart. Remus knew he was breaking by the second. Remus knew his coping methods were unhealthy. Remus knew he missed Virgil. Did that change anything? No, it didn't. He still fell apart. He still broke. He still coped unhealthily. And, worst of all, he still missed Virgil.
Silencing charms had become his best friend. They were the only reason nobody had found out how he felt.
Looking at his brother and Virgil hanging out together, closer than Remus and Virgil ever we're, had become normal.
Two people he (platonically) loved and lost had left him and went off together.
And someone else he missed. Janus. Janus had changed completely after Virgil left. He was more fragile. He kept more to himself. He was more easily frustrated.
And the one he needed the most at that point. Himself. He'd lost himself years ago, but only now he'd realised to what extent. He'd only just realised that he wasn't even close to being the same person. The only similarity was the name. That was it.
He used to be more cheerful and childish. Now he was dirty - minded and insane. He used to be friends with his brother. Now he was enemies with his twin. Everything was opposing now. The only thing that kept him alive for the time being were Virgil, Janus and Remy. Virgil left. Remy was driven away. It was only a matter of time before Janus did, too.
"Remus! Why's your door locked? You eating deodorant again?" Janus teased.
Remus mentally scoffed, wishing the answer was yes. He just charmed his face to look normal and not as if he was just breaking down, then he summoned his deodorant and acted as if he was just eating as he opened the door.
"Remus, how'd you take so long just to walk over here?" Janus asked.
"I was finishing my bite!" Remus protested, before huffing.
Perks of having an actor twin. Janus rolled his eyes and Remus frowned.
"How come I haven't gotten any daily annoyances? I'm beginning to get suspicious." Janus questioned.
Of course. All he saw Remus as was a nuisance who was only there to annoy him. Not the broken boy who used annoying people to cope.
"You'll never know." Remus winked, before pecking his boyfriend's lips.
"Not after you just ate deodorant!" Janus protested.
The rest is pretty much just them being very touchy - feely and stuff. So, boring. You can just skip the rest if you want. Next chapter is when things go down.
Remus rolled his eyes and smirked. Forgetting about the previous occurrences, he pulled Janus into the room and kissed his boyfriend. Janus was about to protest, before giving up and melting into it. Remus wrapped his arms around Janus' waist, pulling him closer. The other cupped Remus' face, deepening the kiss.
When they pulled away for air, Remus grinned.
"Still don't want any kisses?" He teased.
Janus huffed and just pressed his lips against Remus'. Thank goodness the silencing charm was there, since they were pretty much sinning later on.
I just thought of that last line while my percentage was on 69%. Am I... okay?
