Roman's footsteps echoed on the hallway steps. They were quiet but noticeable echoes. He heard a noise to his left. He turned and quietly made his way towards it. He found himself outside. He looked around to find the source. It was a cloaked, shadowed figure. It looked quite short and slightly underfed but not too much. Roman had a suspicion of who it was but decided dwelling on that would be a bad idea. He found himself walking closer to the figure. It was now sitting down and looking out at the scenery. It was leaning on a wall and obviously down, even if Roman couldn't see its face. Roman sat down next to the figure.

"You alright?" Roman asked.

The figure faced him and Roman's suspicion was deemed correct. Virgil Shard.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just... needed some air." Virgil whispered.

"Are you sure? You seem to have something on your mind..." Eoman mumbled, softly.

Virgil smiled sadly.

"Thanks for caring but, it's really nothing you should worry about." Virgil thanked.

"Can you at least tell me? Without lying?" Roman put a hand on Virgil's shoulder, reassuringly.

Virgil looked distant but had a sort of truth and sadness in his voice,
"I just... Everything seems to be going so well ever since I left Remus, Deceit and Remy but... it feels so wrong. How everything just worked out. How nothing is going on. You guys just seemed so accepting of me. My anxiety just makes it difficult to see things as just good, and not have any consequences... And, it's also just so difficult to get over Dee... I know he cheated but, I still somewhat love him." his voice trailed off.

"Virgil... Focus on the present, not the future or past. Try to live in the moment, without thinking of what the outcome is, unless it's a huge dilemma. Otherwise, you'll forget to live and just be anxious all of your life. Trust me, you'll be happier then." Roman assured him. "And, about getting over him, don't think about where you should be. Think about the fact that at least he isn't controlling you. At least he doesn't hold any control over how you feel any more. Remind yourself of the good times, not the bad ones."

Virgil smiled at him, not being able to express words.

"You should smile more often, Virge... it looks cute on you." Roman admitted.

Virgil looked like he was about to retort but closed his mouth. He just leaned on Roman's shoulder, sleepily. Roman wrapped his arms around the boy, face turning red. He couldn't help but smile. Virgil looked so adorable and peaceful asleep like this. Not worrying, not upset, nothing. Roman found himself closing his eyes and falling into a deep sleep.
