Just to clear this up, the time is skipped to the last week of fifth year. And uhhh... Roman angst. Like, hella Roman angst. But then fluff to cheer the mood.

"Virgil!" The boy's head snapped up in shock. He had been deep in thought for so long he hadn't realised class was over.

"Oh, sorry, Ro." Virgil apologised. "I didn't realise History Of Magic was over."

"Wanna hang out outside?" Roman offered.

Virgil shrugged, before walking beside Roman. He actually enjoyed it when Logan and Patton would hang out alone, since he liked being alone with Roman. NOT LIKE THAT!

The two made their way to the lake, and Roman turned to Virgil with a frown on his face.

"Virgil... You've been spaced out for a long time... The last few weeks, you've been very distant, I mean... What's wrong, basically?" Roman

"I'm worried about you, Ro..." Virgil admitted.

It was a half lie. He was, but that wasn't what he was spaced off about.

"W-Why?" Roman didn't meet Virgil's eyes.

"I know you well enough to know your confidence is just a façade. You're obviously faking it. You've helped me, Ro... I need to help you in return." Virgil placed his hand on Roman's reassuringly.

Roman opened his mouth to protest but stopped. "Fine... I guess I've just always had a sort of depressive disorder. When I found out, I just faked happiness. I always have, so it was easy. I don't fake everything, though. When I'm acting or just... hanging out with you guys, I'm happy. But... sometimes small comments, like the ones Logan makes, will set me off and put me into a depressed state. Every night, I have to put a silencing charm on my area of the room so that nobody hears me crying myself to sleep. Some small things will just make me break down at night."

Roman looked up to see Virgil's eyes tearing up. He was about to apologise for being a bother when Virgil wrapped his arms around him. Roman turned red but returned the hug, only now realising his eyes were in tears, too.

"Have you ever had... those thoughts...?" Virgil asked, his voice slightly muffled.

Silence.

"Ro... I know things like saying that everything is going to be alright won't help you. I know saying that people care about you won't help, either. I know that telling people won't seem easy but... I need to tell you this: We all love you. Patton thinks of you as a son. Logan feels like he's a mother to you, it's just he shows his care a different way. I, honestly, have always admired you in a way. I liked how you seemed to always put others before yourself. Ro, you're an amazing person in so many different ways. Don't give up on life just because of those demons. They want you to die, only to upset everyone else and to get you down. Don't listen to anyone who talks negatively about you. If you ever have a thought that's bothering you, or if you have a day where you can't get out of bed... Tell us. Please, it's the least you could do for me...?"

"Virgil... thank you..." Roman whispered.

"I need to do this... I don't want you suffering while I could do so,thing to help." Virgil stated, modestly.

"I also love you more then I should, that's also why..." His whisper wasn't supposed to be heard but was.

"R-Really?..." Roman stuttered, flustered.

Virgil pulled away from the hug, not expecting that. His pale foundation definitely did not hide his solanum lycopersicum red face.

"I-I... You heard that!?!" He panicked.

"Yes, But that's not the point. You... like me?" Roman asked.

"N-... Yes..." Virgil mumbled.

"Well, Virgil... I guess I could say that I love you, too, then." Roman smiled, still red.

"I-Is this a prank or are you being serious?" Virgil asked, skeptically.

"Virge, you really think I'd play with your feelings like that?" Roman asked.

"I guess not... It's almost dinner, we should probably go." Virgil stood up and helped Roman to stand, too.

Virgil quickly kissed Roman on the cheek, before waving and leaving, flustered. Roman was definitely so red that tomatoes were jealous of how red he was. Roman shook his head to stop himself from staring at the running boy. He then followed and walked to the great hall for the next meal. On the way, he passed Logan and Patton holding hands. He smirked to himself. He always had known they'd be an adorable couple.
