We ate and talked a little bit about the past two years. “So you auditioned solo.” I stated. “Yeah.” Harry nodded, taking a bite of his food. “We got cut after boot camp, but they brought us back as a group. I actually came up with the name One Direction.” He said proudly. “Well I’m proud of you guys.” I told him.
After we finished eating, we decided to head to the shops. Riley said she needed some new books, so I thought I’d grab her a few to make up for what happened with Jason. I wasn’t sure if she was mad at me or not, but I was getting some for her anyways.
I parked my car in front of the bookstore and got out. Harry followed me with a raised eyebrow. “Riley’s an avid reader.” I told him. He nodded and followed my through all the rows until I came to the fiction section. I noticed that I had lost Harry somewhere in the many rows of books but didn’t bother looking for him.
I grabbed a couple books that I thought Ri might like and went to find Harry. I was able to find him in the activities section, holding a leather journal in his hands. “There you are.” I said, walking over to him. “What is that?” Harry shrugged and put it back on the shelf. I quickly grabbed it and looked at it.
I knew Riley wanted to write a book, and this would be perfect for her to write one in. “She’d love it.” I whispered more to myself, but apparently Harry heard. He grabbed it out of my hands and tucked it under his arm. “Then I’m paying for it.” He smiled. I tried to grab it, but he stepped back and out of my reach. “No you’re not, give it to me.” He shook his head and made his way to the check out counter.
“Why do you want to pay for it anyways? I thought you hated her.” I said, following after him. “I found it, so I’m paying. It can be from you.” He replied over his shoulder. We paid for everything and walked out of the store. “I wanna buy the boys something too.” I said, throwing the books into the back seat of my car.
We walked down the street, looking in shop windows to see if anything caught our eye. It was a while before I looked into a window and found the perfect gift for Louis. It was a big superman pillow. “Louis will love it.” I said, smiling at Harry. “It’ll go with his superman p.j’s!” He laughed.
I ran into the store and bought the pillow. It wasn’t too big, but it was bigger then the average pillow. It was perfect. For Liam, I decided to get him a plush turtle; I could only imagine how much he missed his. I got Zayn a cute handheld mirror that he could carry around with him. We got back to the car and put everything in.
“Not getting Niall anything?” Harry asked as I started the car. I smirked at him and drove to the one place that I knew I could get Niall something he loved.
Nando’s.

“Where have you guys been?” Liam called as we walked in the door holding three bags each. “Payton wanted to spoil you guys like a kid on Christmas morning.” Harry called back. I heard footsteps rush through the house towards us. “I smell Nando’s.” Niall said once he reached us. I held out the bag to him and he took it with a big smile. “Thanks!” he cheered, running back to where he had come from.
Harry and I followed him and ended up in the living room where everything was sitting. Louis and Liam were sitting on the floor playing Go Fish, Zayn and Riley were sitting on the couch talking and watching t.v, and Niall was already eating his chicken.
I handed each person the appropriate bag. Liam opened his first and pulled out the plush turtle. A large grin spread across his face and he said thanks. Louis pulled out his pillow and had the same large grin plastered on his face. He got up and ran past my yelling thanks. It wasn’t long before he came back down stairs and hugged me.
As he pulled away, I noticed he changed what he was wearing. He now had on a set of Superman pajamas. “I thought you were kidding!” I said to Harry before I started to laugh. “Perfect! Louis broke my last one.” Zayn said, after opening his gift. Louis shot him and glare and returned to his game of Go Fish.
Next was Riley who was looking through the four books with a big smile. “I’ve wanted to read all of these! Thanks Pay.” She said. “Oh here.” I grabbed the bag out of Harry’s hand and gave it to her. “It’s from Harry.” I told her. Everyone stopped what there were doing and looked at the curly haired boy. Harry glared at me before trying to explain.
“No it’s from Payton. I just paid for it cause I found it!” He defended himself. Riley narrowed her eyes at him before looking at the journal. “Wow, this would be perfect for my book. I guess Harry can be nice.” Riley mumbled.
“At least I can be nicer than you!” Harry snapped. I shook my head at the two. They needed to learn how to get along for the sake of everybody. I looked around the room at everybody. Niall had already finished eating, Louis and Liam kept playing their card game, Zayn was going through Riley’s new books while her and Harry bickered back and forth.
I had to say I missed this over the past two years. Even the fighting. We were all best friends and nothing could break us apart. Except for that talent show maybe. But here we were, together again. I guess we were meant to stay friends. And I was glad because I could never survive without these boys.
(A/N) sorry if there's any mistakes or typos, I had to write this fast!
