I woke up the next morning to somebody jumping up and down on my bed. I slowly opened my eyes to see Riley smiling at me. “What time is it?” I groaned. She looked around the room searching for a clock but settled on her phone. “Seven-thirty.” She shrugged.

“Why am I up so early?” I covered my head with my pillow, blocking out the bright light. “We’re going to Disney today. We want to leave early!” she whined. She had her new plush Stitch doll hugged against her chest as she waited for me to get up. I just sighed and turned away from her.

We all went for a late night swim last night and didn’t get in till about four in the morning. Only three and a half hours and Riley was already awake. “Fine, I’m up.” I said, rolling out of bed. I grabbed a pair of shorts and a tank top from my suitcase and slowly made my way to the bathroom.

I really didn’t want to be up this early, seeing as how late we went to bed, but I had a nice long day to spend with Niall right? More time with him was good, maybe I’d find out how he actually feels about me. His mixed signals were honestly driving me crazy. I wanted to confront him, but I also didn’t want to scare him away. I guess I’d just have to wait for him.

I finished getting ready and walked out of the bathroom to see Riley on the room phone. “Yeah, I think she’s ready now. Okay, see you soon.” She said before hanging up. “Who was that?” I asked. I walked over to the mirror and finished off the little bit of makeup that I was putting on. “Harry. He wanted to know if we were almost ready.”

“Ri, you don’t like Harry do you?” I asked her. I watched her through the mirror. Her eyes widened and she froze. I automatically assumed she did like him until she started laughing like crazy. I couldn’t help but think she was insane until finally she calmed down. “You’re funny you know that? No, we’re just becoming friends.” She told me. “Where are we going anyways?” I asked. I was having a hard time with my make up today so I decided to just leave it. “Magic Kingdom!” Riley cheered.

“It’s so magical…” Niall said. He was in awe as we walked through the entry gate. “That’s why it’s called Magic Kingdom Niall.” I laughed. He pouted at me and crossed his arms so I gave him a big hug but continued to laugh.

This place was amazing. When you walk in, the first thing you see is the castle. The whole place looked like a cute little town. There was a road that went everywhere with shops lined up along it. There were even tracks for a street car. Even though we had just started our vacation, I never wanted to leave.

“Alright, let’s all stay together this time.” Liam smiled. We walked down the street and went into a couple stored. The first one we walked into was full of Disney costumes. “Let’s try some on!” Zayn said, before running and grabbing a costume. I grabbed a Snow White dress and followed everybody to the dressing rooms. “Everybody ready?” Louis asked after a while.

Everyone replied with a ‘yes’ and Louis ordered us to step out. Riley was dressed up like Pocahontas, Niall like Peter Pan, Harry as Tarzan, Zayn and Liam had both picked out the same Prince Charming costume, and Louis was dressed as Cinderella. “Louis! What are you doing?” I laughed. He did a little twirl followed by a curtsy. Everyone began to gasp for air from laughing so hard. “Awe Lou, you make a beautiful princess.” Riley smiled.

“Thanks Ri Ri!” Louis hugged her. We decided to take some photos and the lady who I guessed ran the store didn’t look too happy. “Maybe we should change. Before we get in trouble.” Niall laughed. I looked over at the lady and she was now talking away on her cell phone, paying no attention to us. “Nah, I think we’re good.”

“Harry!” a voice squeaked. I cringed at how high pitched it was. We all turned to see who it was and saw the girl who had been clinging onto Harry’s arm yesterday. “Sophie.” Harry gulped. She ran and threw her arms around his neck. After hugging him, she ran her hands all over his arms and chest. “What happened last night? You never called me.” She pouted.

Harry glanced at all of us before replying. “We were just hanging out yesterday. Nothing was going to happen and nothing is still not going to happen. I’m sorry if I led you on.” He said. I expected Sophie to start crying or something but she didn’t. She looked furious. She threw her red hair over her shoulder, turned on her heels, and stormed out of the store. Everyone stayed quiet as we walking into our dressing rooms to get changed.

“Well, that was… odd.” Liam said as we walked out of the shop. “I know! Hazz never turns down a girl!” Louis said, shaking his head. “Unless he likes someone!” I laughed. It was a joke of course, because Harry rarely ever liked anyone. It had only really happened twice but it was all the same; like every other girl in the world didn’t exist. “Oh my God, Harry likes someone!” Niall yelled. Harry turned red, a mix of embarrassment and anger on his face.

“Do not! She was just annoying. But Niall likes someone.” Harry retorted. All eyes turned to Niall and he just looked at his feet. “Who is it Nialler?” Riley asked, looking straight at me. “Nobody.” He mumbled. “C’mon mate, you can tell us.” Zayn told him. Niall sighed and looked at each of us. “You don’t know her.”

I felt my heart break a little. The way he had acted yesterday made me think hr could have actually liked me. I guess I was wrong. “Let’s go on some rides.” Riley suggested. I know she was trying to get rid of the awkward silence that was surrounding us, but it didn’t work out to well. I still felt really awkward and it looked like everyone else did too. As we walked, I could hear Liam and Zayn whispering behind me.

“I thought he like Payton.”

“I know! And they spend so much time together.”

“Who else could he be talking about?”

I decided to stop listening and announced that I had to go to the bathroom. I couldn’t even begin to tell you how confused I was right now. I found a bathroom and made my way towards it. Once I walked in, I leaned against the sink and looked in the mirror. No wonder he didn’t like me. I had big, black bags under my eyes, my hair was all over the place from trying to pull that dress over my head, and I hadn’t been able to do my makeup the way I wanted it done.

“I’m sorry.”

I turned to find Riley standing near the door. She was awkwardly playing with her fingers, something she did when she was nervous, and was looking at me with sad eyes. “For what?” I asked, turning back to the mirror in front of me. “I shouldn’t have even asked who he liked. That way, things wouldn’t be so awkward. I honestly thought he was going to say he liked you.” She replied. I shrugged at her. I was hoping for him to say it was me too, but I guess that would never happen.

“Let’s go. Everyone’s waiting.” I snapped, walking past her. She didn’t say anything or move until I was already out the door. I felt bad for snapping at her like that, but she was right. If she didn’t ask then I wouldn’t have been hurt right now. As soon as I was out of the bathroom, I looked for Niall. I didn’t want to see him, but it was habit. I saw him talking to Harry and once he looked my way, I quickly started walking to a ride.

The rest of the day was the same. I avoided Niall and Riley and stayed with Zayn the whole time. “The parade is about to start! Come on!” Louis cheered as he began running in the direction of the castle. We all ran after him, wanting to get a good spot. We ended up sitting right along the road across from the castle. “Best seat in the house. Liam grinned. We all sat down and I was in the middle of Liam and Zayn.

I looked over and saw Niall sit down beside Riley and whisper something in her ear. She nodded and said something back before turning to look at the castle. I know I shouldn’t be mad at Riley, since all she did was ask a question, but I couldn’t help it. It was like I wanted a reason to be mad at her. At the both of them. Zayn threw his arm around my shoulder and pulled me into his chest for a tight hug.

“It will get better.” He whispered.
