chapter seven : bus ride

We went down stairs and to the bus outside. It was a school bus. We were the first kids to get on the bus so we went to the back. It was a three seater, so three people per seat. But our class wasn't that big. So Hestia just took an entire back seat to herself so she could lay down. Luke and I sat beside each other in the seat beside her. Luke getting closest to the window.

People slowly started poring in the bus. It was weird to see the few kids that didn't resemble normals so they used the special water in the locker room. Just one drop makes you look like a normal. It doesn't work on people who already resemble normals, like Luke, Hestia and I. But it works a lot on people who don't. It goes away after forty-eight hours.

The Zero twins had two eyes instead of one. Weird to see. There's one girl in our class, Grace Rezneck. where her skin in neon green, she has eight spider eyes that are all black. And her black hair is almost to the floor. She also has teeth like a shark. But, with the water. Her hair is black with green ends and its to her waist. She has two human eyes which are back. and her skin is a pale peach colour. and she has normal teeth. Almost a different person physically. There are a few more kids like that in our class and the change is scary.

After everyone finally got into the bus, Takahashi was the last one.

" Alright everyone, " Takahashi sighed. " Attendance, and then we choose who does what to get Hero Kat. " 

Takahashi yelled out our last names and we had to yell something to say we're here. Takahashi is a pretty laid-back teacher so he doesn't care. I guess the reason why he's so laid-back is because if someone is not behaving he can just teleport in front of them and be like "Hey. Stop."

He likes scaring people. He's that kinda teacher where you think you're being sneaky talking at the back of class. But he can still hear you. He'll teleport behind you to scare you. He also does this thing that everyone who ever had Takahashi calls the "Takahashi Snatch". Where if you're eating in class, he'll teleport your the food in your hands to his hands. He can teleport other objects too. But he'll teleport it into his hands and eat it himself. There's no eating in his class.

" Everyone is here. " Takahashi spoke, " Okay first attempt to get Hero Kat will be catcalling/flirting. Lets go with, Howler and Hamilton. "

" Why both-? " Luke asked.

" We don't know her sexuality. She could like girls, guys or both. " Takahashi looked back at his clip board. Takahashi continued with a few more, then he finally got to the last one.

" Kidnapping, lets go Hills and Rezneck. " Takahashi put down his clipboard. " If any of you get caught, I won't like you. But I still have to save you or else parents will get mad at me. So Zero twins, if anyone gets imprisoned you get them out with your powers. "

" Alright. " Ayclops answered.

Takahashi pressed a button beside the steering wheel, it made the bus look like a public bus. The inside looked the same though, so we were all in the same place we were before. Takahashi started driving. So we were on our way to the land of the normals.

" I just noticed something. " Hestia spoke.

" What is it-? " Luke asked. He was slouched down in his seat staring at the roof.

" What the hell is Takahashi's first name? " Hestia asked. She was lying down in her seat, resting her feet over on my lap since I was sitting on the closest to the isle side of Luke's and my seat. She was staring at the roof too.

" Its- wow I don't even know. " I was sitting in my seat normally. But its true. I don't know Takahashi's first name.

We only ever knew him as Takahashi because he's our teacher, and we call our teachers by their last names. He's been our teacher ever since we came to Taiyo in 9th grade. Before we just went to regular fantasy school's. The ones that take in Taiyo or Tsuki. But when you get to 9th grade you have to decide what team you're on. Luke and I were one of the reasons why Hestia went to Taiyo instead of going to Tsuki like the rest of her family.

" thirty-four. " Luke spoke, still looking at the roof.

" What-? " Hestia looked up at him.

" There's thirty-four pieces of chewed gum on the roof. " Luke pointed to the roof.

" Gross. " I replied.

" Really gross. " Hestia chuckled and put her head down again to look at the roof.

" Agreed. " I laughed. 

Thirty minutes went by. We laughed and just chilled pretty much. Hestia did try shoving her feet into my face once. Thankfully she was wearing shoes.

" Everyone we're almost there, Pretend like you're actual teenagers on a public bus. A few of you know each other but most of you don't. " Takahashi spoke loudly so everyone could hear him.

Hestia stopped laying down, she sat up properly and went on her phone. Luke also sat up properly. So did a few other kids who were not sitting properly. 

We finally drove into normal's territory. It looked amazing. Now it did just look a lot like the land of the fantasies. But it looked like it if there were only fantasies that resembled normals. And if there was no Taiyo or Tsuki. And if magic didn't exist. Other then that buildings and signs really just looked the same. 

" She's spotted. " Takahashi said. We all looked out the window to see. There she was. Hero Kat. Just walking down the street.
