chapter seventeen : easdale's undying secret

Takahashi walked in when my mother let him in. Takahashi wasn't alone though. And it surprised me who he brought with him. By his face, we could tell he was angry at the person that came with him. Not Hestia.

The person with Takahashi, was Easdale. 

Hestia looked the most surprised out of anyone.

" Speak. " Takahashi had his arms crossed. He was standing beside Easdale. You could tell he was angry.

Easdale sighed.

" I did it. " Easdales eyes started to water. 

" Why!? " Luke looked angry. 

" I didn't have a choice. I had to help her. " Easdale answered again. She looked down at the ground.

" Head up. " Takahashi added, Easdale raised her head again to look at Hestia, Luke and I.

" Who did you have to help? " I asked. My voice was starting to get raspy. 

" Plus isn't your power just healing-? " Hestia added.

" My power isn't healing.. " Easdale answered. Tears started falling down her cheek.

" Then what is it? " Luke asked.

" My power is to control the inside of peoples bodies. That's why it hurts so much when I heal.. I'm not healing you actually.. I'm fusing your body back together. " Easdale explained.

" That neon blue liquid is actually tiny demons, the size of bacteria. Easdale can control these creatures and create them. Its part of her ability. The reason why Hills had a nose bleed is because they entered through his nose, and the pressure caused bleeding. Now there's too much so they're slowly exiting from where they came in. They're slowly eating out his insides. Killing him. " Takahashi added. He still looked really angry.

I was shocked. Someone in my own team was trying to murder me. I was probably going to be dead soon.

" Wh-When did you make them enter my body-? " I asked. I was scared. I wasn't ready to die. I'm only sixteen.

" I was never checking if you were injured. When I have the creatures enter someone else's body, they're invisible. They're neon blue when.. they're finished their job. " Easdale continued explaining.

" I'm going to die.. " Tears left my eyes.

I looked down to the couch. I was still in my hero uniform. My hood was down and my hair was messy. I was scared. I was sobbing. I didn't want to die. But I knew I was going to. What makes it worse is that I was dying by a teammate I thought I trusted.

Easdale gulped.

" I'm sorry.. " Easdale spoke.

" Well is there anyway to reverse it!? We can't let Carter die! " Hestia looked very angry at Easdale. She was screaming. Easdale looked like she was about to cry even more.

" Yes but- It would be difficult. " Easdale answered.

" Well speak up! " My mother spoke, she was crying too. I wouldn't blame her. I was pretty much the only person she had left.

" He has to get his heart touched by another blue streak.. literally get his heart ripped out for the blue streak to touch. I would be able to heal him before he dies of blood loss." Easdale answered. " But it can't be me. If we tried that, he'd just die faster. " 

" We don't know any blue streaks except for you Easdale. " Luke commented.

" I'm only good friends with one other blue streak. But that would be weird. " Easdale explained.

" Why? " I asked. I would pretty much do anything. I didn't care about how much pain it would be to have my heart ripped out of my chest and put back in and healed. Just so I didn't die.

" You guys.. know her. " Easdale looked at the ground.

" Head up Emily. " Takahashi looked at her, his eyes with a sharp sense of anger.

If it was up to him, he would have already thrown her into a Taiyo jail for trying to kill one of her own team members. But blue streaks aren't accepted in Taiyo and Tsuki jails. They're too powerful.

Easdale put her head up again, she avoided looking at me or Hestia. So she just looked at Luke. I could tell she had deep regret for what she did to me, but I don't know why she wouldn't look at Hestia.

" Well, who is she? " Hestia asked.

Hestia is also scary when shes angry. She wasn't as angry when Luke posted that one picture of us on Eclipse, but I was dying. Easdale and Hestia are actually pretty close friends. So having one of your best friends try and kill your other best friend- is probably traumatizing. Hestia would win second most scary when mad award. Right after Takahashi. Third would be Luke. Because he's never mad. But when he is, HE IS.

" I can just find another blue streak- " Easdale tried to change the topic of who this other blue streak is.

" Who is the blue streak you're friends with? " Hestia asked again.

Easdale stayed silent,

" Emily-? " Takahashi looked almost a little concerned.

Easdale continued to stay silent. 

" Em- Easdale you can't just stay silent the whole time. " Hestia stuttered.

I think she was about to call Easdale by her first name. Which even if you have permission, its still very rude to call Taiyo staff by their first names. When its just you and them, or you're with a couple friends its fine. But if its at school, or a serious meeting, its very rude. Unless its you're also Taiyo staff, then its fine.

Easdale bit her tongue. You can tell her breathing wasn't stable. But she was trying to hide it.

" She doesn't really want you guys knowing. " Easdale spoke again, she wiped her mouth with her finger. Her tongue was bleeding from her biting it.

" Well she has to. I'm not letting one of my BEST FRIENDS die because of you Easdale! I'm not letting this happen! " Hestia yelled. She seemed very angry.

" Yes.. Yes.. " Easdales eyes watered even more. She looked like she knew she messed up.

" So? Tell us Easdale. " Hestia yelled.

Easdale sighed.

" Follow me. Everyone. Even Hills. " Easdale turned to the door. 

I stood up, I took the toilet paper clump from Luke and held it myself. I still felt kinda dizzy so I put my arm around Luke to hold myself up. He understood, he grabbed latch onto my arm so I didn't fall over. Hestia stood up as well and followed. My mother and Takahashi followed too. 

Easdale was silent. She was just walking.

" Where do you think we're going? " Luke asked me.

" To the house of another blue streak. " I answered. I had barely any energy. We we're even at the stairs yet and I wanted to lay down again. I mean I had tiny demons eating my insides away so how could I blame myself.

Easdale kept walking, and we kept following. Easdale was shaking. Once or twice Takahashi had to go to the front of the ground just to ask if she was okay. She always just answered with a straight yes and nothing more.

We walked and walked. For what felt like forever, but Luke said it was only twenty minutes. We finally got to a house. It was past the boarder of Taiyo and Tsuki to the normal's world.

" Okay, you guys stay here.. She can't know I brought you guys. " Easdale didn't even turn to look at us.

She started walking to the house. Easdale walked up the steps and knocked on the door. And the person that answered.. Wasn't the person we were expecting.
