Chapter 14 - Another Missing

"Siming, Siming, I found something!" ChengYu shouted. "Let me see, in the palace of Chang'an a little princess was born three months earlier than expected. Chen Yueling. She saved her mother four times in the last three months. The first time the mother and the baby were saved by a barrier?! When the baby cried very loud. The next two times the baby also cried before the mother was closed to dying." Sming read out loud... then there was a silent moment. "I don't remember writing this mortal fate book at all. And there is no other book connected to this mortal at all." he confusingly said. "Could this be her?" ChengYu asked.

Siming and ChengYu arrive at Xi Wu palace. "Greeting to your crown prince and crown princess." both say with a bow. "Did guys find her?" Qianqian asks very concerningly. "We think we might have found her but we haven't confirmed yet." ChengYu says. "Where is she?" Yehua asks.

"Donghua how many times do I have to tell you? You need to rest! You're not well either if you don't fully heal, how can you take care of her" ZheYan scolds him. "I want to be with her, I want her to see me when she wakes up." Donghua said softly while staring and touching Fengjiu's face. "I know you do, why else have I placed your bed in the same chamber as her? Now stop being stubborn and stay in bed so you can heal properly." ZheYan continued to scold him.

Siming materialized into the den "Greet Dijun and high god" he said. "What is it?" Donghua asked. "We think we may have found her highness. She is in the mortal realm. In the Chang'an Palace we think she is the little princess. The last 6 hours the little princess has saved the queen four times. She was born three months ahead of time. When she was born there was an attack on the queen and her and there was an unknown barrier that protected them." Siming replies. Donghua stands up shockingly "It must be her! It has to be!" he said then he started to cough out blood and lose consciousness.

Both of them yell out his name in the most worried tone that ever has been. "High god, what should we do?" Siming ask. "He's too weak right now, especially after the battle with Miao Luo. He was supposed to go into seclusion for about four to five hundred years to regain all his cultivation and crimson blood. But now, with this recent attack, it made it worse for his body. The other day he lost a lot of blood, feeding it to Xiaojiu, he really doesn't want his life." ZheYan says in frustration then he sighs. "So should we send him into seclusion so he can recover his health a bit?" Siming asks. "If he would listen? That is a problem." ZheYan sighs...

They both help take Donghua back to his bed and ZheYan cast a sleeping spell on him so he can rest for a bit. ZheYan and Siming looked at each other and let out a sigh. They head out of the chamber and they head towards the gathering hall to discuss the information that Siming had brought over.

In the middle of the night Donghua wakes up and walks over to Fengjiu's bedside, he sits on the floor. He grabs her hand and places it on his cheek. "Xiaobai where are you? Why did you leave my side without letting me know? Xiaobai, wait for me, I will come to find you no matter where you are..." he whispers. He leans in and places a kiss on her forehead.

When he looked down at her, he saw the birthmark non-stop blinking. He has a bad feeling in his heart that words can't describe. He places his hand on her forehead, closes his eyes and tries to read her memories to fill in what he had missed.

Flashback Memories
