Chapter 1 - Aftermath

After three months since Miao Luo was defeated, Fengjiu has finally woken up from her coma. All she wants to do now is just spend the rest of her eternal life with the ones she loves and treasured the most; Donghua and Gungun. But as we all know with this small mischief red nine tail there's always something in store. There is still this one little secret that she hasn't told. Not to anyone and not even Dijun at all.

As we all know Donghua is always jealous and annoyed at any male figures except Fengjiu's grandfather, father and uncles, that steals away all of her attention from this mighty Dijun. It doesn't matter if it's even a second at all.

On one nice sunny and cloudless day, Donghua was playing with Gungun while Fengjiu was preparing his favourite dish "sweet and sour fish." Fengjiu has been watching Donghua, like a hawk, target her prey since she's recovered.

"Mmm... Dong... hua..." she calls. He raises his eyebrow, to look at her and responds in a high questioning tone "Yes, my Xiaobai? What is it?" He looks back down at Gungun "You stay here and play by yourself for a bit." Gungun nods and replies "Yes, father lord." He walks over to Fengjiu at a speed of light and sits down by her side. He lightly tugs her over close to his chest, stares into her eyes with a worried look. He takes one arm wrapped around her shoulders and the other arm raised, placing the back of his hand to her forehead. "WHAT'S, WRONG WITH YOU? Are you not feeling well? Do you feel uncomfortable?" he said in a very worrying tone of voice. Fengjiu pulled his hand down from her forehead and held it tight.

Xiaobai: "I am fine, please don't worry so much." She touches his forehead with her warm soft fingers, smoothing out those worry lines. "Look at you, you're getting so many creases from worrying too much."

Donghua grabbed her hand that was on his forehead then held it tight. He brings it close to his lips and gives it a kiss. As he tilted his head to give her a look, "Can you blame me for worrying sick? Ever since we met, you've been getting into all sorts of accidents, from minor injuries to deathly troubles." he said in a sad tone of voice. He moves his lips close to her ear and whispers in a seductive voice "Then tell me... what is it, my... dear Xiaobai?" as he finishes his sentences, he nibbles on her ear cartilages. Then Fengjiu gives him a little push and jokingly says "Can you... for once... be more serious?" then he whispers "When... was I never... ser...ious...?"

Donghua gives her a glance, then moves close to her lips. As he breaths, he fans his sweet breath all over her face. As he continues to use his seductive whispering voice "I thought my dear Xiaobai loves it... when I'm naughty like this." He moves his arms down from her shoulders to her waist, tugs her even closer and holds her tight. He tries to kiss her again, on her lips and she blocks it with her hand. She pouts at him and says in a strict tone of voice "I am serious! What if Gungun sees or hears you! Why can't you just sit still, I have something to tell you that's important..." She pushes him away and she starts to speak again, "If you're not willing to listen, I can just ignore you right this instant! I can leave you here in Bihai Cangling all alone. Gungun and I can head back to Qingqiu, my fox den and ban you from seeing us anymore..." As she finishes her sentences she huffs and puffs then turns away.

After hearing Fengjiu's threatening words, he panics in an instant. He knew, with Fengjiu's personality, she is capable of doing whatever she says. After all, she did make me, a heartless old stone fell in love with her and hid from him a few times for a couple of hundreds of years and more. As he stares at her back, in his mind he thought:

"It was not easy to get my dear Xiaobai back. We had so many misunderstandings from the start and went through so many obstacles to finally be together. I can't afford to lose her once more. She is my everything. I once said to myself, I can't bear to make her sad again, I can't bear to make her suffer again, I can't bear to make her cry again and I will not let anyone hurt her again! So whatever she wants, whatever she demands, whatever she desires, I will listen and do my best to fulfill it all. I, Donghua Zhifu Shaoyang Jun, was once the Lord; who united the nine heavens, of all three realms, and taking charge of life and death among the six worlds, who knew nothing about love at all. She was the one that I had been waiting for all these thousands and thousands of years. Who showed me what is love, who brought the color of joy and happiness to my dark lonely world. I used to have no weaknesses at all and I didn't care about any girls either. Even when they cry I just find it stupid and annoying. But now she's my weakness, if she cries or gets hurt, my heart feels like billions and billions of arrows and blades piercing through in an instant. There is nothing as important as her anymore, not the four seas and eight far lands not even my own life."

Donghua decides to sit still as she wishes. As his eyes started to get watery and his face changed to a pouty puppy face. He knows that this face will always work on her, no matter how mad she is, she'll always end up forgiving him. He tries to tug on her sleeves and she just pulls it away. She'd seen his childish acts many times. She peeked with one eye closed and she saw his act, an act of a little child that got into some big trouble, this new act of his was something that he never used before. "Xiaobai... Xiaobai... my Xiaobai... my little fox... my empress... please forgive me...?" he whines and whines, while he continues to tugs on her sleeves so more. Finally Fengjiu lets out a strong roar "ENOUGH!"

She turns around and gives him a deathly cut eye stare with her arms crossed. She questions him some more, "So are you willing to listen to me now?!" Donghua opens his eyes as wide as he can, starts nodding his head nonstop like a woodpecker, while dragging himself closer to her. He looks like a small child that's anxious for what's in store.

Xiaobai: "I've been watching you very closely ever since I woke up from the coma. You've been jealous every time Gungun tries to get close to me. Doesn't matter if it was for a hug or kiss, you will find a way to stop it all. Why are you even jealous of your own child? Your biological DAUGHTER, at all?"
