Chapter 18 - Love Rivals

As time flies pass in the mortal realm, day by day, year by year, nothing big ever really happened, only small incidents here and there. But over in the West Palace, Lady Yang still hasn't given up on trying to win the king's heart, which she keeps failing. She tries and tries but never succeeds, whenever she fails, more hate is directed to the queen and princess. She always conjures up evil plans to harm them but still fails. At this point, which normal people would just have probably given up by now, but shes, as the 'number one' loser, will not.

To others it seems like heaven really protects the kind and innocent ones, but little did they know that the little princess is BAI FENGJIU the queen of Qingqiu also the queen of mischief. So normal harm will not be able to hurt her because she is always surrounded by people that love her and also Dijun's Tiangang shield.

The love from her one and only favourite aunt, who begged her husband Yehua, to send some faires to watch over her. Which these faires really did do their best job in taking care of the queen of mischief, but only to a certain extent. Once in a blue moon, ZheYan and Zhenzhen will pay a secret visit when she is sleeping. Just to check up on her health and wellbeing then off they go on their lovely date in the mortal realm.

Her parents would just watch from far, where her mom would silently cry on BaiYi's shoulder. As for her grandparents, they just stayed in Qingqiu to take care of things for her while she's away. Her grandfather BaiZhi, is already used to her venturing off to faraway lands for as long as she desires, so handling her responsibilities is just like a regular routine. 

Like another normal day, the sworn sisters are spending their time in the imperial garden like any other day for the last sixteen years. The only difference is the last three years YueLing was actually not playing but practicing sword skills with LiTing. Since LiTing is from the family of generals, his skills in martial arts and military tactics have to be strong. Throughout the years that YueLing was the target for many different incidents, he was there to save her all the time. He had promised himself that he would protect her no matter what, until his last breath.

On YueLing's sixth birthday she was kidnapped along with LiTing and was abandoned into a forest's deep underground cave. The cave was full of snakes that Yueling was truly afraid of, lucky LiTing was there to protect her. Even though at that time, LiTang wasn't really good at any kung fu but still managed to kill most of the snakes. But he was bitten a few times and was getting really tired all together with everything happening at once.

"Gege I'm really scared!" she says while trembling and hiding behind him. "YueLing don't worry I won't let them hurt you! You will be okay!" he replies. As the fresh metallic smell of blood reached her nose she quickly gazed down at his hand "Gege you're hurt!" she says while grabbing his hand, bringing it up to her mouth and she starts to suck out the blood from the wounds.

"YueLing what are you doing? If it's poisonous you will die!" he screams out while trying to take his hand away. "Don't move! If you die then I will die too!" she says and continues to suck out the blood from all the wounds. "You're such a selfless little girl!" he says while doting on her.

As soon as she finishes, she rips the end of the rob and wraps it around his hand. "I can't watch you die! It's my fault that you are here with me. They were coming for me, if you didn't step in they wouldn't have taken you as well." she says. "Remember what you said that day when you fell from the swing?" he asks. "That you're my general..." she answers. "Yes, and I said I will marry you and protect you the rest of my life!" he proudly says.

At their age, little did they know what does, love or marriage means. None of them were shy or embarrassed at what has been said. To YueLing, she just wants to be with him all the time, forever together and never be apart.
