Chapter 17 - First Kiss

Ever since the night of the arranged marriage, the two sworn sisters often meet up in the palace with the two little ones while the two sworn brothers are busy at court. The sisters often take them to the royal garden where the king has given strict orders that only the queen and Madam Yin are allowed to visit. As time has passed by there weren't any other attacks on the queen or princess themself. The lower concubines were afraid of the new alliances with the great General Yin since he has the whole country's army in his hand.

It's been three years now the little princess and little master were always playing together since they can first walk by themself. YueLing often likes to play on the swing and LiTing often likes to push.

As they were happily playing together, Lady Yang was watching from somewhere far away hidden behind the rock mountains. She sees the queen and Madam Yin, sitting under the pavilion, happily talking while watching their children. Her hate towards the queen is unbelievable, every time she sees the queen's face it makes her want to puke. Her mind just rampages with all sorts of thoughts;

Who does she think she is? Always acting innocent, makes me want to puke. Why does she get to live happily like this and I have to live a lonely life in my own palace? I don't want her to be happy at all! I want her to be in sorrow! I want to see her cry!"

After watching for a while an evil plan has conjured up in her mind. So she whispered to her head maid and ordered her to get Lee Eunuch to ignite the plan.

After half a day playing on the swing, YueLing was getting bored already and she wanted to get off the swing. "Gege, I wanna stop playing. I wanna eat pastry." she says while turning her head backward. " Okay my little princess." he replies while stopping the swing and trying to help her off.

While getting off the swing, she sees a red and green striped snake slithering on the floor under her feet. She quickly screams "AHAHAAAAAAA!" and jumps back on the swing. At this moment a man dressed in black threw a sharp object that the swings string, partially cutting it. At the same time LiTing took the little stool beside the swing and launched it at the snake to scare it away.

YueLing was so afraid of the snake, she was standing on the swing seat, jumping and screaming. This scene now alerted everyone's attention, now everyone is running there to help.

Now with the partial cut on the swing's ropes and from her non-stop jumping, the ropes no longer can take the weight and it snapped. Upon the snap YueLing lost her balance and falls towards the ground. LiTing's instinct makes him quickly grab hold of her before she hits the ground, his back hits the ground first and with her laying on top of his chest. His arms and hands wrapped around her tightly to ensure her not to get a single injury.

"YueLing are you okay? Are you hurt at all? Anywhere have any uncomfortable feelings?" he quickly asks. "No I'm fine." she replies as she gets up and tries to pull LiTing up as well. Finally, all the servants got to the two children to help them up and some went to get rid of the snake. Upon hearing from the servants the queen and Madam Yin frighteningly got up and ran to the children. "Gege you are bleeding!" YueLing yells while pointing at his back.

"YueLing are you okay?" the queen asks. At the same time "LiTing are you okay?" Jingjing asks. "Mother I'm fine but gege is bleeding"! she replies while pointing it out at his back. "LiTing, does it hurt, my dear? Jingjing asks while holding him tight. At the same time, the queen tells servants to call for the imperial physician.

YueLing walks over to LiTing, "Gege, I'm sorry you got hurt... and thank you for saving me. You are my little general!" YueLing says then places a kiss on his cheek. "YueLing! What are you doing?" the queen said with surprise. "My queen it's okay she's a little child no harm done." Jingjing says.
