Lisa's POV

"I'll leave you here so you can focus" Irene said as she head out of my office. Irene has been one of my top investor for around 3 years in fact she has one of biggest share in the company next to Bambam, Jisoo and I so she's basically here when we're in the middle of putting up the company. Irene used to be a really serious person when she invested in my company but as the time goes by she started getting comfortable around us.. especially me. She'll mostly be the one who'll throw jokes and laugh loudly. Her laugh is always contagious so if I'm mad or feeling low if I heard Irene laugh I'm probably gonna smile instantly. She has been a friend of mine since then.. back when I'm healing up until now. When Irene told me that she started liking me I seriously got scared... not for myself but for her. She's a really good friend and I told her that I can't give her back the same feeling she has. She started going to my penthouse to do all this stuff like taking care of me and all that without asking for anything in return. I told her to stop cause I can't give her the assurance of liking her back. She told me that she'd rather do all of these than regretting it in the future. She told me she just wanted to take care of me and make me laugh and just be there for me. All she wanted was to be around me even it is as a friend. I seriously think it's fucked up and I keep stopping her but she'll just ignore it. In return, even if I can't like her back like she does.. I open up to her which I don't usually do for the first couple of years. I get comfortable around her and I talk to her like how I talk to Jisoo and all our other friends. I ask her about her life and all that and even be there if she needs me but I'm still trying to keep my distance so she won't feel like I'm leading her on.

I was cut out of my thoughts when my secretary burst through the door of my office without knocking as usual

"Boss.. Ms Bae's keeping Ms Kim from entering your office " she said

"If it's about business then tell her it's fine" I said

"But I feel like my hair will be the one they'll accidentally pull in between their intense eye to eye war" she said making me sigh.. I stand up from my chair and walk out of my office with Irene and Jennie starring at each other very firmly

"And I told you that I don't care even if you like her cause I'm here for Lisa and not you. I can give you every single guy you liked back then in exchange of Lisa" Jennie said. I look around seeing my secretary standing on the side and on the other side is Jisoo and Rosie standing next to each other while eating something and watching both Jennie and Irene like they're watching some live action movie

"Irene.." I called out but she kept her firm glare at Jennie "Bae Joohyun" I said firmly this time which makes her break her glare and she look at me making Jennie look at me as well. I nod my head to gesture for her to come towards me which she did without even saying anything back to Jennie "we don't have any schedule today Ms Kim"

"Jennie" she cleared out making me nod

"We don't have any schedule today Jennie" I rephrase

"Baby" she said wanting me to use that instead as she smile knowingly

"Jennie we're inside a workplac, be professional" Irene said since we're basically surrounded by a lot of my employee who's working on their own tables

"Then do you call it professional when you're flirting with the CEO?"

"What do you consider flirting? Us standing next to each other?" She fired back

"Coming to her office when you're not needed and going up on her penthouse at 6am" Jennie said

"Her penthouse is not a part of the workplace and me being inside her office doesn't mean I'm doing any unprofessional business"

"Then me coming here without any schedule doesn't make me unprofessional too, am I right?" Jennie said still staring at Irene

"Throwing some inappropriate words inside a workplace when you're not even in a relationship with the CEO is unprofessional or should I say straight up disrespectful and immature of you" Irene said with the same calm tone when Jennie's here literally raising her voice

"Joohyun.." I warned her again as I look at Jennie warning her without even the need to say a word

"Please go inside.. both of you are disturbing our employees" I said. Before Jennie can even walk in both Jisoo and Rosie walk inside my office wanting to be a part of our talk

"Don't you have paper works to finish?" I ask Jisoo making her shake her head while still eating

"This is more important " she said. I step aside to let Jennie walk inside first but when she's right infront of me she stopped and face me leaving a short distance between us

"Are you in a relationship with Irene?" She ask

"Jennie let's just settle all of these inside" I said

"No. Answer my question now" she said looking up at me

"No" I saw the side of her lip twitch up as she nodded her head

"Do you have feelings for her?" She ask once more

"I told you we can't talk about personal life inside the workplace" I said

"It's not hard to choose whether you'll answer yes or no.. but avoiding the question just makes me think that you may actually have feelings for her" she said

"I told you-"

"I'm not asking for another excuse Lisa. I'm just letting you know that as long as you're not contented and happy.. I'll try to win you back. I love you.. I still do. I know a sorry won't be enough after what I've done that's why I'll gladly wait for years just to get an answer whether you'll reject me or not."
