I arrived in Finland around 4pm since the flight time wasn't that long. I messaged someone to pick me up in advance so when I get out of the airport an Uber driver escorted me towards the car. To be honest I don't know why I decided to go here... especially during our supposedly 9th year anniversary. It's not really that bad of a plan but if someone saw me or if any of the staffs from the cabin noticed me then for sure they might tell it to Jennie.
"Excuse me" I speak up while I'm at the passenger seat of the car "can you drop me off at the Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort instead?" I said the driver seem to not understand me completely because of the language barrier but when he heard the place he nodded at me "thank you" I think it'll be better to just stay at the resort where we used to stay at the glass igloos before Jennie and I discovered the cabin in the woods. Staffs there doesn't know us that well cause we don't come there anymore. It is probably the original place we have here in Finland... the cabin became our place right when we're already dating but it really started in those glass igloos.

I mostly just stare outside the window for the whole ride I sometimes check my phone if someone from work texted me or there is something important but when I arrived at my destination I decided that it'll be best if I'll turn my phone off for now. Jisoo told me to just enjoy my break and being on my phone a lot of time doesn't change the fact that I still have my mind on my work.
"Thank you" I told the Uber driver before he drives off. I walk towards the large cabin where their front desk is located. A woman on her late 50s greeted me
"Do you have a single bedroom?"
"We have a few left ma'am, is any igloo fine for you?" She ask probably because I don't have a lot of choices. I nodded and smile at her as I pull out my wallet to pay. After I paid for everything another woman on her 40s helped me with my bag as we walk towards the igloo I'm staying at and since it has a single bed it is way smaller than the ones we used to stay at.
"Please call us if you need anything" she said before leaving me inside the glass igloo. I put my bag down on the side as I take my coat off. I put my phone on the side table and grab a new set of winter clothes inside my bag to change.
Once I finished changing I made sure to bring my wallet and keys with me before locking the place and walking through the cold afternoon with the thick snow on my feet. A lot of staffs are really friendly here so I just keep smiling at them and nodding my head a bit when they greet me. I didn't had my lunch yet so I'll just go outside to look for some foods. We used to go here with Rosie and Jisoo. We bought some pizzas here back then I remembered.
I look at the stalls one by one to look for something to eat. I pass by a couple of stall and there is actually a lot of people around here.. probably cause it's near the resort. They have a lot of different kind of foods here which makes the place more cool.
"Pizza!" A lady yell out to attract customers making me look at her stall. This was the stall we bought the pizza back then "I think I saw you before" she said making me raise both of my brows
"I bought pizzas here back then.. that was a long time ago" I replied making her nod
"You were with your friends aren't you?" I nodded "and your girlfriend if I'm not mistaken " this vendor is quite nosy.. I nodded "It's funny, I asked a person earlier cause I think I have seen her before as well. She ignored me" she laugh making me smile as well
"You probably remember every customers you had" I said making her nod "I'll have 2 slices of those" I said.. she seems nosy but also fun so I'll buy from her
"I don't have any beverage left you can buy from the other stalls tho" she said
"No it's alright" she put both of my pizza on a paper plate before handing it over to me as I gave her some money "keep the change " she nodded and thanked me. I turn around and started walking to another stall to look for a warm beverage cause they sell a lot of sodas. I started eating my pizza while walking and looking at different stalls.
"Excuse me do you have coffee?" I ask and the lady gave me a confused look. She probably don't speak English "coffee" I said gesturing a cup on my hand and drinking it
"Vesi?" She said... what the fuck is Vesi? I put my hand in my pocket and was about to pull out my phone when I remembered I didn't bring it with me
" Onko sinulla kahvia?" Someone said right beside me making me look. The vendor nodded and turn around to get something

"Jennie " I mumble while she's looking down at her wallet as she pull out some money to give it to the vendor. In no time she already have 2 coffees in her hand
"She thought you were asking for water" she said giving the other coffee to me "I told her if they have any coffee"
"How did you learn that?" I said.. I'm not even sure why those words were the first thing that I said
"I come here often for the last 6 years and Thierry taught me basic stuffs so I can buy and ask for directions" she said referring to our friend back in the cabin we used to stay at "I was surprised to see you today... what brings you here?" She ask with both our hands cupping the warm cup of coffee
"I'm... I'm just visiting. I mean I'm just here for vacation " I said trying not to stutter too much
"Great day for vacation huh? Same date as our 9th year anniversary " she said teasingly
