It was lunch. The trio went out of the class immediately. I wanted to follow them, Quit it! Don't tempt yourself like that! Remember the last time you butt in? I shook my head, taking out my lunchbox. I looked out the window. Hey, is the roof open? with that thought in mind, I stood up from my seat and went up the stairs.
I opened the door and closed it behind me. "But I thought he was locked up!" a familiar male voice exclaimed. I hid behind a wall, peeking in the direction of his voice. Strawberry and his gang were there, but there were others. All of them wore school uniforms, but they didn't look like high school students.
One had silver hair, he looked like a primary schooler. One was bald, was that red eyeliner on his eyes? Another had stunning purple eyes, and they looked rather fair. I was starting to get jealous of their beaming beauty. Another was a blonde woman who made my B-cup size look like a wooden plank. Pretty lips, a sweet beauty mark near her lip and not to mention her soft and silky blonde hair.
If everyone in Japan looked like that, I wasn't going to survive much longer.
I stood behind the wall, frozen, trying to listen to their conversation. "We should contact Soul Society about this," the silver hair muttered.
"But, captain, what are we supposed to do? We can't just let him run around the school like this!" the woman whined, pouting.
"If he doesn't appear hostile, we shouldn't attack him. Being reckless would only create a mess," the silver hair answered. Strawberry crossed his arms, looking very pissed.
Locked up? Soul Society? What's going on? Why is a grade schooler being called captain?
I was busy with my thoughts for a while. Only to notice everyone was oddly quiet.
"Someone is watching us," the fair one muttered out loud.
Crap!
I froze in my spot, my forehead beginning to sweat. "Are they going to show themselves or do we need to escort them out?!" Baldy shouted, obviously pinpointing the statement to me.
I revealed myself to them, "Hi," I said, sheepishly waving at them.
Baldy pointed a wooden sword at me, "What were you doing hiding over there? You work for Aizen or something?" he was screaming at my face. I flinched a little.
Orihime quickly went to my aid, "You guys, it's only the transfer student! I'm sure Neddy isn't involved with Aizen." I gave them all a confused look. Orihime pushed down the wooden sword gently, "She just arrived here yesterday," she explained, "And I'm sure she didn't understand what we all were addressing about, right, Neddy-chan?" I only nodded. My lips were suddenly dry.
So much for not butting in.
Each of them exchanged looks. "Well, it does appear she isn't a threat," the silver hair muttered, "I guess we can let her go." They all turned their head to the silver hair, blaring several Japanese words that my brain wasn't fast enough to translate.
"You should head somewhere else, Neddy-chan," Orihime patted my shoulder, "Keep it a secret, okay?"
I nodded. What was there to keep if I didn't even understand a single thing?
My head keeps trying to make connections about the conversation earlier. I buried my face in my hands, hopelessly trying. I placed my hands down, looking at the front rows of seats. A boy with rectangular glasses was looking my way, a book in his hand.
He had chin-length black hair with stunning blue eyes. He adjusted his glasses, light reflected on the lens perfectly, before he looked away from me. I blinked for a second before looking away from him. I shook my head gently, I'm shaking my head too much, aren't I? He looked like a novel love interest. I furrowed my eyebrows, I'm thinking too much.
I noticed a figure standing beside me, I turned, "Uhm..." I muttered looking at Strawberry. He was tall, about 170 cm or more! Now that I noticed, everyone was taller than me. I looked like a child among a crowd of teens. "Sorry for earlier, I didn't mean to spy on you guys..." I murmured, looking at my table.
"I guess I should warn you about our new teacher..." he muttered. "I can't really say anything but, you should stay clear of him, okay?" he informed, rather sheepishly. I looked at the guy, he was looking away, scratching his head.
"Um... sure," I replied.
"I know it's sudden, and it's only your second day. But if you have any questions, you can ask me," he flashed a weak smile.
"First, what's your name?" I bit on my nails.
"It's Kurosaki Ichigo, but you can call me Ichigo."
I nodded, "Okay, Ichigo-san, what's Soul Society?" I asked.
"Ah..." he looked away, "That... I can't answer."
I raised an eyebrow. I noticed a little something poking out of his pocket. It was pentagon-shaped, and it had a skull in the centre. It was brown and it looked like it was made out of wood. "What's that?" I pointed to it.
Ichigo looked at his pocket, "You can see it?" he sounded shocked. He fiddled with the straps of the thing. It was white and neatly braided.
"Well, yeah, it stands out from your uniform."
"It's nothing," he pushed that thing deeper into his pocket, "I'm gonna go now. Sorry for interrupting you suddenly." Before I could answer, he walked away.
I buried my face in my hands, wanting to scream, Great! I practically dragged myself into danger! And now Strawberry is warning me about the brunette! I placed my head on the table, wondering when the day would end.
