chapter 23: mysteries

i woke up a lot earlier than everyone. i was looking at my status thinking about what that is.

"so if that means i have to be in a certain scenario" i say as i write on a piece of paper "lets see so by beam started to change at around the black Goliath, and my ice started to act very differently that usual when Welf and Bell got beat up. and when that happened i wasn't myself, everything seemed hazy after Bel got beat up. geez why does this have to be me?"

"well your up a lot earlier that usual"

"hey Rem im just thinking about things" i repy

"that doesn't look look thinking, this looks like a full blown investigation" Rem says as she takes a seat next to me.

"Hey Rem, what happened last night at the tavern...when Bell got beat up?" i ask

Rem looks down at the table "you where very different, you had an emotionless look on your face. your voice was also emotionless and you seemed like you had you had seen enough of it. you weren't the Acro i knew" a small tear trickled down her cheek

"i-i'm sorry" i say

"don't worry" Rem wiped the tear of of her cheek

"geez could you knock that off you lovebirds"

"i-i have to go somewhere" i say as i grab my weapons and head out

"but it's still dark out!" Natsuki yelled

"doesn't matter" i reply

LATER

im in the village of calamity, and at this point i could see the sunrise.

"beautiful" i mutter as i look at the sunset

i head over to Natsuki's house and wait for someone.

i head over to a table and wait.

"hello Acro"

"hello Artemis"

REM POV

we were waiting in front of Bell place.

"do you really have no idea about where he went" Natsuki asked

"i already told you, he didnt say anything about it" i reply

Bell walks out of the building. "what? wheres Acro?"

"could ask you the same thing" Natsuki says

"we dont know. he woke up before sunrise and he left before we could ask him."

"do you know what he was doing before he left?"

"well he was trying to figure out that thing that appeared on his status" i said

"then when i appeared, he walked off randomly"

"that is a little weird" Bell replies

"i know right" Natsuki says

"knowing him when he gets like this, he's probably not gonna be back untill sunset" i say to Bell

"alright then, we are going to go to the guild to tell Eina about what happened" Bell says

"ok lest go!" Natsuki says as she points to the sky

ACRO POV

"so your saying that you have something weird appearing on your status. am i correct"

"yeah. since you checked my status before, i wanted to ask you if you had noticed anything about my status." i hand her my status

"no you where just fine, you where normal, the only thing unusual is that you seemed to loose control when someone is being very mean to an ally. you where just the cutest boy, whenever i had to wake you up every morning, to when you would fall asleep right in my arms you where the cutest."
