its the next day and Bell and Hestia are heading off to the Apollo familia meeting thing. me Rem and Natsuki have been tasked to hold down the fort so we are just sitting around the church.
"hey Acro I've been meaning to ask you, what are you gonna call those white twig things?" Natsuki asked
"yeah what are you gonna call them?"
"i dont know i guess i can call the tree Blight trees. and the twigs could be called i dont know ekibyo"
"i guess that works" Rem says
"sooo what shall we talk about now" Natsuki asks
"i dont know. Rem you choose"
"lets do truth or dare"
"Natsuki ya down for it?"
"im down... Acro you start"
"Rem, truth or dare?"
"truth"
"is it true that.... uhh, that you want a pet bird for your birthday?"
"yes! i really want one" Rem yelled in excitement
"ok" Rem starts to go off about why she loves birds. "just one month to go, so be patient" i mutter
"Rem its your turn" Natsuki says
"Natsuki, truth or dare"
"dare" Natsuki replied
"i dare you to fight Acro, the winner is decided when the o[pponent gives up or when the opponent is unable to battle."
"why me" i say as i grab my katar
Natsuki grabs her dagger and we gets into position to fight. i begin to chant, dodging Natsuki's attacks. when i finished chanting i was trying my best to gather as much mana into the palm of my hand. after a few minutes of charging up my attack, i send a beam of light off to Natsuki. instead of hitting Natsuki and taking her mana, it started to gain the consistency of water. the beam broke off into many strands of mana, wrapping around Natsuki. then i started to swing my arm around, and this made the beam curve and start to drag Natsuki with it. after a few seconds i lost the strength to stand up. i fell down, the beam disappeared and it let Natsuki go. i didn't have the strength to even move. soon after my vision was filled with darkness. soon i felt nothing.
NATSUKI POV
"Acro. Acro?" i after realizing that he was not conscious i managed to get him on my back and started to make my way to Rem.
"what happened?" she asked
"i dunno, didnt that enchantment thing say that using that ability takes a lot of mana"
"yeah i know that but i didnt know that it was that quick"
"well whatever lets head back and wait for him to get up."
MORNING
ACRO POV
i wake up in bed, i can barely remember anything. i look to the sides of my bed to see Natsuki and Rem sleeping peacefully on a few chairs. after i got ready Natsuki filled me in on everything that happened last night.
"oh yeah, its all coming back." i say as i get my weapons "the thing is, is that i couldnt take any mana from you."
"well, you cant have something that is so overpowered" Rem replied
"i gue-*BOOM*" a loud explosion came from Bells place. we all looked at each other, like we knew that something wasnt right "we are going, we are going now!"
we run out of our home to see that Bells place was obliterated, its was destroyed. then i notice that there where around 20 men standing around the remnants of the church, i push Rem and Natsuki down out of sight and i go to find some cover.
"on my mark we run" i whisper
i take one of the ekibyo and throw it towards one of the men surrounding the church, its shape morphs into a hammer and it hits one of the men right in the head, knocking him out cold making him fall backwards. this alerts the men, making them look in in the direction opistare to where the that person fell.
"now" i say as i run off
in the city we can see many adventures all running to one direction.
"lets follow them" Rem says
"bad idea, we dont know how many of them are, Bell just has to hold out until we get some help." i reply
"and where is that?"
"we are going to the guild"
"why is that?" Rem replied
"were getting some back up, now hurry up'
when we arrived at the guild we see Lili and Welf waiting for Bell. we rush over to them and i say " we gotta go now, there was asn explosion at Bells place, and there was, there was"
Lili walks up to me and says "Acro calm down, tell us what happened"
"Bell's in trouble"
"w-what! where is he?"
"just follow me" i reply
we run off into the streets to find Bell, along the way we find Miach and Ouka's party. now with some proper back up we follow the trail of destruction and we eventually find Bell. thing is, is that Bell is literally about to die to that Hyakinthos guy.
just as i was about to make my move, arrows started to rain down in that same area.
"that is Naaza's que" Ouka says
Bell and Hestia begin to walk in our direction, but as they where gonna turn the corner, a bolt of electricity came down on their direction. seeing this opening we start to surround the attackers.
"hey Bell, you good?" i ask as Miach pours a health potion on Bell
Bell grabs the hilt of his knife "Bell get out of here, dont worry, they got this under control" i say to him
we begin to run off again, but we where cut short by a group of adventurers.
"Bell we got them. now get out of here" Natsuki says
"b-but"
"go, we got this" Welf says as he grabs his sword
"Lili, Rem you got backup" i say as i grab my katar
the adventurers weren't that hard to deal with so we where able to get rid of them pretty easily. i saw a lack of arrows on the ground or in the adventurers, so i look up to the rooftops to see Lili. she looked emotionless.
"i am going back to the Soma familia, please let master Bell that i wont me causing anymore trouble for him."
"hey wait, lil Lili where are you going, hey!" Welf shouts, but Lili simply walked off.
i look down at one of the adventurer's and i see a emblem on one of their sleeves.
"hey Welf is that what i think it is?"
"it sure is" he replied
"Natsuki, Rem we gotta find Bell"
once we regrouped we ran off to find Bell.
