Chapter 69: Noice

"Damn, so you don't let us use your tail as a pillow but you can use it as your own pillow." And that was the first thing I heard when I woke up.

When I slowly opened up my eyes, I saw Natsuki sitting on a nearby chair on my room. "It's because it's comfortable." I stated as I released my grip on my tail. 

"Oh, you're finally awake." A new but familiar voice chimed in. As I scanned the room, I saw Haruna sitting on a chair that was on the opposite side of the room from where Natsuki was from. 

"Good morning Haru." I yawned as I stretched my arms out.

"Haru..." This seemed to get Haruna to completely zone out.

"Wow, so no good morning to me?" Natsuki pouted.

"Good morning to you too Natsuki." I replied as I light right back down onto my bed.

"Hey! Get back up! You still have things to do." Natsuki attempted to drag me out of bed but I simply used the black tentacled so strap me to the bed.

"Ten minutes and you get to use my tail as a body pillow." I said as the black tentacled disappeared.

"Sleep tight." Natsuki was already sitting right back in her chair.

"Yup." I closed my eyes.

*DING DING DING*

"Why." I stated in frustration.

"Why!!" Natsuki shouted in defeat.

"Emergency alert! Emergency alert! All Familias within the city limits, please follow the instructions which will be provided." A voice echoed out across the whole city. 

"What is even happening?"

"Armed monsters have destroyed Rivira on the 18th floor. We are asking adventures for their cooperation in eradicating the monsters that are responsib-uh. What?" The voice stuttered. "Uh, Yes sir, the guild has retracted their previous statement and all citizens including adventurers are prohibited from entering the dungeon. Familias, please stand by at your respective homes." The voice stopped talking.

"Welp, I'm awake now." I stated as I got up and stretched my legs. "c'mon you two, lets meet up with everyone." I walked out of my bedroom.

When I reached the main hall, I saw that Mikoto, Haruhime, Lili and Welf were already there.

"Who're you?" Lili pointed right at me.

"What?"

"Not you. Her." When I turned around, Haruna was already right behind me.

"Oh, her. She's Haruna. Remember when I told you all that I met an Oni? Because she is that same Oni."

"Hello." Haruna bowed.

"Anyway, did you hear the announcement?" Lili replied.

"yeah. I heard it." I stated in an irritated tone. "So, we gonna help them or not? The Xenos I mean."

"Xenos?"

"Don't question it Haru."

"Bell is still in the dungeon. We need to help him." Lili held her head low.

'What!? Bell is still in the dungeon!?" Hestia burst through the doors of the mansion.

"Yes, he still in the dungeon." Lili replied.

"But the dungeon has been up on lockdown." 

"I know. And that's why we go in there." I stated as I walked out of the room, only to run into Mikoto with a paper in hand. "Can I see this?" 

"Sure." When I opened the the paper, I read its contents. It said something along the lines of the fact that we should stay on standby and the fact that the guild has sent the Ganesha Familia to go to the 18th floor to deal with the Xenos. It also said that Bell was also joining in on this mission. 

I walked back into the room and gave the paper to Hestia. "I'm going on my own. I can sneak by the other adventurers easier." I opened the window and jumped out, creating a shield to fly on and I then made my way to the dungeon.

When I arrived at the dungeon, I simply teleported through the walls of babel and I quickly made my way down to the dungeon. There wasn't a single adventurer nor monster in sight, it was a clear path to the 18th floor. Within just a few minutes I had already made my way to the 18th floor and saw the chaos that was plaguing the floor. The Ganesha familia was already fighting the Xenos and the thing that surprised me the most was the fact that the Xenos were the ones starting the fights. 

A flash of feathers shot through the air followed by a gust of wind. 

'Ray?'

I jumped back onto my shield and began to follow the Siren who was speeding across the floor. However, it was no use. She was way too fast for me to catch up, so I had to resort to a different solution. I began to create three more shields and began to place them in the way of Ray. She expertly dodged the shields and continued to fire feathers to the adventurers down below. 

This wasn't working, I knew that I had to try something different and had an idea. I began to shoot aquashard icicles at Ray but making it just barely miss her. I was zoning her off so that I could execute my plan. I got shield and placed it right behind the shield that I was on so that it would act as some sort of backrest and I stuck them together using a spell.

I faced the the shields that was behind me and I fired two more aquashard shots, one flew right behind her and one right behind her which made her make a sharp left into my direction. And when she was in range, I used my Body Swap skill.

*BANG*

I was now in the air but before I could fall to the ground, I had my third shield pick me up. When I looked back to where I just was, I saw that Ray had collided with the shield that was behind the sitting up. She had sent the whole contraption into a downward spiral and she had no way of getting out of it on her own due to the fact that she was knocked out cold from the speed of the impact that she had sustained.

Before she could hit the floor, I summoned a black tentacle to catch her but I made sure that the tentacle was under the tree line so that I could not raise any more suspicion from the other adventurers that I was here on the side with the Xenos.

When I got to the ground I picked Ray up and brought her to the stump of a tree. I made sure that nobody was nearby and I began to talk.

"Ray, what in the world are you doing?"

"What?" When she opened her eyes, I saw something that really startled me. The whites in her eyes have turned pure black and her eyeris's were a darker shade of blue that it normally was.

"Why are you destroying this floor?"

"Because hunters killed our kin. They got away with Fear and Weine." She said as tears began to well up in her eyes.
