Pablo scowls as he sees Alfie once again approaching him as soon as he enters the training centre. The boy just wouldn't leave him alone, could he not see Pablo hated company.

"What do you want," Pablo groans as Alfie takes a seat next to him.

"I want to be allies," He says for the hundredth time. The boy just wouldn't stop asking, no matter how many times Pablo said no. He just wouldn't give up.

"Why? Why me? Why not someone else?" Pablo snaps, and Alfie smiles.

"Well, why not you," He says and Pablo scowls once more. For Pablo, training was a waste of time, he, and twenty-three of these people will die in the next few weeks, what is the point in dragging out their inevitable demise. For the first time since he had met Alfie, he considered accepting his ally request. Pablo was sneaky and smart, but when it came to fighting he had to be at a far enough distance to through his shurikens, which would be useless if he was ambushed by the careers. Maybe Alfie could be useful.

"I will consider it," Pablo says after a few moments of silence, "What weapon do you use?"

"An axe," Alfie says, and Pablo raised an eyebrow at him. Being from District four, Pablo suspected the boy would use a trident or a spear. It's unusual for a tribute from four to use an axe. He quickly realized that most tributes this year weren't typical. He was a tribute from twelve who used shurikens, most tributes from twelve can't fight at all.

"Show me," Pablo says, and Alfie stands up and walks over to the rack of axes. He picks up one of the large ones, and signals for Pablo to follow him over to the simulation booth. Pablo leans against the metal railing as Alfie steps in, and almost straight away an orange figure charges at him. He quickly slashes it with his axe, and spins around to cut open the chest of another one, which explodes into cubes around him. Pablo watches in surprise as he does this, he is surprisingly skilled for someone his size, he's not as good as a career, but he's still great. He would defiantly make a good ally. Well, until Pablo no longer needed him at least. After about ten minutes of Alfie slashing and hitting the orange figures, he finally steps out of the booth with sweat dripping down off his forehead.

"Alfie," Pablo says, "You are now in an alliance,"

Anna couldn't help but laugh as Yasmin trips over her own feet while spinning around to slash open a dummies neck. Anna has no idea why her idiot district partner would become allies with her, she's a klutz. Phoenix helped the girl up, and Anna found herself scowling at them. Ok, maybe Anna had a little crush on Phoenix, who in return, despised her deeply. Anna couldn't help but feel burning hatred for the smaller girl. Once she was up, Phoenix excused himself and heads over to the bathrooms. Once Anna watched him disappear through door, she slowly approached Yasmin, making sure not to get too close while she was wielding the katana. Anna waited until Yasmin stopped attacking, before she casually walked behind the girl, grabbing Yasmin's pony tail and yanking it backwards as she did so. Yasmin yelped in pain and spins around as Anna turns away. Unfortunately, Anna thought that the girl would just have a go at her, instead, she felt her own pony tail get yanked backwards, and the next thing she knew she was on the floor, with Yasmin standing over her.

"You have a problem with me?" Yasmin growls as Anna stands up.

"Phoenix is mine," Anna says, trying to sound as nice as possible. Yasmin raises an eyebrow at her, and she sighs, "You took him from me,"

"No I didn't," Yasmin snaps, "He wanted me to be his ally because of how I hated the careers, and I accepted,"

"What ever you say," Anna says, and smiles sweetly before she walks back over to where she was previously sitting. God she hated Yasmin, she could feel the smaller girls gaze burning into the back of her head as she walked, but she did her best to ignore it. As she sat down, she noticed a guy standing in the shadows behind the Yasmin, the boy from ten. As soon as he caught her stare, he turned and walked away, along the wall. That was the second time she had caught him doing that, and the fourth time she'd seen him observing someone. Anna knew his strategy, learn peoples weaknesses, learn their fears. He thinks he's smart, well he's got another thing coming.

Joseph couldn't help but feel relieved when Kurt emerged from the infirmary, smiling as he had been when he saw him yesterday morning. The boy walked with a notable limp, which made Joseph pity him. The doctor in the infirmary had said Joseph's heart was too kind for these games, which was true. He wouldn't dream of harming another living thing, unless the circumstances were dyer.

"Kurt!" A voice says, and Kelsey runs out of nowhere over to where Kurt stands. Joseph had spoken to Kelsey yesterday in the infirmary, he had seemed really nice to him, but to most others she was a real bitch. He was glad she liked him, he didn't want to be on his bad side.

"You've gotten attached to him," Skye says quietly from beside him, and he raises an eyebrow at her, "You feel to bad for him, both you and Kelsey will be upset when he dies,"

"And you won't be?" Joseph says, glaring at his sister.

"Of course I will be," She says, glancing over at the happy boy sitting with Kelsey, "But I know you will be allot worse than I will be,"

Joseph doesn't reply, she's right, he would be very upset, he would be upset for any of the children younger than him up there. It's not fair to them, why do they have to suffer for what their ancestors did. Life just isn't fair like that. What would he do if Skye died? No, he couldn't think stuff like that. Skye needed to win, for him, for our family, for District Five. She needed to be the one who takes the crown. Not him, he didn't deserve it. For some reason the thought of personal training entered his head. Apparently they used to have three days of training and then private sessions on the fourth day, but now there is only two days of training. He was nervous for his training sessions. What if they laughed at him, or hated him. So many things could go wrong, but they wouldn't, he knew it.

Byran scowls as he returns to the careers to see them all crowded around Arthur, all laughing and talking. How could they let scum like him into the career pack? What was Jase thinking? He could tell Arthur was just trying to annoy him, and it was working. Byron hated the careers this year, Maddilyn annoys the shit out of him, Maya and Jase are way too close, and Jase just made himself leader of the pack, what makes him so worthy? Carter was the only person Byron could stand. She was level headed, and thought like a career, unlike Maya and Jase. They were too nice to be careers, they probably wouldn't be able to kill anyone. The rest of the day goes like this for Byron, he stood by himself as the careers talked and got to know Arthur. Carter occasionally came of and talked to him, which he was thankful for, but she still seemed to like Arthur. When the day finally ended, Byron sighed with relief. All we wanted to do was sleep. Tomorrow was the last day before the games, and he was extremely excited. Slowly the room began to empty, until it was just the careers left. Somehow, Byron ended up in the centre alone with Arthur, the rest of the careers piling into the elevator until it was full.

"Don't think I wont hesitate to kill you," Byron growls to Arthur while they wait for the elevator.

"Same to you," Arthur says, not even glancing at Byron, which made him angry. He wouldn't be able to deal with this every day of the games, ruining his fun. Arthur was going to die in the bloodbath, Byron would make sure of it.
