•Marley's point of view•

Today is the day that I finally get to see my best friend. Beca has been away all summer staying with her grandma, she stayed an extra six weeks though because she had a lot of injuries. The abuse is still going on and I hate to see Beca in so much pain. I talked about it with her, offering to help her but she refused. She doesn't want us to get involved and end up hurt. I would take a hit if that means she wouldn't be in so much pain. Hell, if something happens to me or any of her other friends, she will only blame herself.

I'm having mixed feelings for today. I'm really excited to see, hug and hold her, but on the other hand, I'm nervous about how she will react to the news that I need to tell her. I didn't see it myself, but Donald did and he shared it with me. I know Beca would want to know what happened because she cares about Chloe a lot. I will have to tell Beca carefully and at the right time. I sigh. As if there is a right time to tell this kind of thing. Maybe it's better to tell her at lunch break because if I tell her right now, she will storm off to Barden University and beat Tom up.

I go through my closet and grab some clothes I want to wear today and walk downstairs because I have to eat some breakfast. I grab some fruit from the bowl and make my way to school, where I'm happy to see I'm the first one to arrive.

,,Marley." I hear her voice and run up towards her.

,,I've missed you so much!" I tell her while holding her. After a while, we let go of each other and I saw tears in her eyes. We're both crying now, these eleven weeks have been the longest of my life. We've never been away from each other for that long before. I pull Beca in for another hug, which she melts into, letting me know she missed me too.

,,Hey, let her go." I hear Finn say. ,,And let me hug my best friend too." I pull away and Finn pulls Beca in for a hug, followed by Quinn, Jesse, and Stacie. The six of us are really close and I'm so happy we could convince Beca to see us in secret.

,,Did you have a nice time with your grandma?" I ask Beca when we walk to the grass in the yard. It's not as big as the yard at Barden U, but big enough for us six to have some lunch.

,,Yeah, and thanks to Quinn, I could sing Beth to sleep every night and study so I wouldn't miss anything this year."

,,Good thinking Q." I say and lace my fingers with Finn's.

,,I can see that you two are a thing now." Says Beca and smirks.

,,Yeah, he asked me four weeks ago."

,,And how's Chloe?" I should've known Beca would ask about Chloe, but we all keep quiet. Remembering what I have to tell Beca, I swallow. She's going to freak out. I already told the others what I've heard.

,,She's doing great." Says Stacie, who's been very close to Aubrey, Chloe's best friend lately.

,,Good to hear." The break we're on isn't a long one because the bell lets us know we have to get back to class. I get up and walk with Beca towards History.

,,Bec, after classes, at lunch break, I have to tell you something. Can you meet me at my locker?"

,,Yeah sure." She says. I smile and hug her before we get into the classroom and sit down at our seats.

The moment the bell goes to let us know it's lunch break, I hurry towards my locker to meet Beca. I'm so nervous because I have to tell Beca what happened. Beca walks up to me with a nervous smile.

,,So, you wanted to talk to me?" She asks as she looks around nervously, still scared her father will show up somewhere and see us together. I hate to see her this scared. We haven't been able to hang out with Beca in eleven weeks and now that we can, Beca is only looking around, scared and afraid we will get hurt.
