•Beca's point of view•

,,Okay, smooth sailing so far," Miss Pillsbury tells the glee club as we sit in the lobby of the auditorium. ,,We're all signed in and according to the program you have drawn performance slot number three." Miss Pillsbury is the guidance counselor. Mr. Schuester isn't allowed to go for some reason involving mattresses? I don't know about that, but he isn't allowed to be here with the glee club.

,,We are going last?" Asks Tina. ,,Isn't that bad?" I look at all the glee club members and they're all surprised and scared. I get up and stand next to Miss. Pillsbury.

,,Not necessarily. I've heard that you either want to be first or last. If you guys are first then everyone has to measure up to you and if you're last, you're freshest in the judge's minds."

,,But you've never performed." They say to me and I sigh.

,,I know, but that's what I heard."

,,I'm with Beca on this one. The glass is definitely half full of some very good things right now." Miss. Pillsbury tries to reassure the club.

,,They're both right, guys." Mercedes speaks up. ,,I mean, we're here now, no reason not to go in with some positive mojo." We got inside the auditorium to watch the first group, called: "juvenile girls". They sing pretty well, but they are singing "Proud Mary", a song the glee club would sing.

,,Well I'll be damned! They stole our setlist!" Kurt says, fanning himself. Next, there was a group called: "Jane Addams academy", they started off with another song the glee club was supposed to do, "And I'm telling you". Mercedes is in shock.

,,It's a really popular song." I say to her in a falsely hopeful voice, trying to console her, but they just shake their heads. They finished with "Proud Mary" in wheelchairs and now we knew that Sue Sylvester must have leaked the setlist to our competition. We aren't even surprised anymore when the Haverbrook glee club breaks out into a highly off-key version of "Don't stop believing".

,,Okay, that's enough!" Rachel yells frustrated. ,,Meeting in the green room in five minutes!" She stands up and storms out of the auditorium. I looked at the rest of the glee club, they were all very angry. Think Beca, how can you help them? My mind is racing, while Quinn and I follow the rest to the green room.

,,This is bad guys!" Mercedes shouts.

,,Miss Pillsbury has Mr. Schuester on the phone." Finn says trying to calm down a rashing Rachel.

,,Okay, does anybody have an idea?!" Yells Santana. ,,I never thought I would say this but I actually like being in this glee club."

,,I might have an idea." I suddenly know what to do, which songs to blow everyone's mind.

,,Now what are you waiting for? Tell us already." Puck says and I roll my eyes.

,,Puck!" Quinn says and grabs my hand. ,,Tell your amazing idea."

,,What about we start off with Rachel singing "Don't rain on my parade" and finish with "You can't always get what you want"? Those songs are great and have never been used before, right?"

,,But Mercedes would sing the solo this time." Rachel says, probably hoping to sing and stand next to Quinn.

,,We agreed that I would sing "And I'm telling you", any other song is for you Rachel." Mercedes says and gives her a smile.

,,Yeah, you are our best singer." Tina agrees and Rachel looks at Quinn for a moment.

,,They are right." Quinn and I say at the same time.

,,You have to do this Rachel." Quinn grabs her hand. ,,We can't win this without you."

,,Okay, I'll do it." She says and everybody cheers. ,,Where will you sit, Beca?" Rachel turns to me.

,,Oh, I'm sitting next to Miss. Pillsbury and she's going to call Mr. Schuester. Don't worry, he'll hear you guys and be so proud."

,,It's all because of you, Bec." Quinn pulls me into a slow and painless hug.

,,You guys are on." Some guy comes into the room and we follow him to the auditorium. Miss Pillsbury and I go to our places and sit down. The lights dimmed and the announcer walked out on stage.

,,And now our final team - Barden High's New Directions!" He leaves the stage and the music from "Don't rain on my parade" starts. I laugh when I see everyone keeping the focus on the stage, but they aren't coming from there. The voice of Rachel comes from the back of the auditorium and everyone turns around in their seats. The spotlight flashes over to illuminate Rachel, walking down the aisle into the audience. She walks down the aisle as she sings, flirting with the audience. She belts it out on stage and I must say that she's an amazing singer.

,,Get ready for me, love, 'cause I'm a comer. I simply gotta march, my heart's a drummer. Nobody, no, nobody. Is gonna rain on my parade!" She belts out the last note perfectly, hand outstretched, reaching for the elusive something. The audience rises in a standing ovation, cheering wildly. Miss Pillsbury and I are following their example, while the rest of the club joins Rachel on stage. The rest start to sing "You can't always get what you want", while the audience is sitting down again. Rachel and Quinn look at each other for a moment before giving themselves to the song, led by Rachel and Finn. At the second couplet, most of the audience started rising again, including me. They're so good! The audience starts clapping, while Rachel sings further with Finn by her side. The applause they get at the end says everything. They were amazing and it would surprise me if they didn't win Sectionals.

A/N: This are the two performances they did:

The students and Miss Pillsbury are summoned on stage with the two other contestants.

,,The second place goes to -" There is a small silence. ,,The Jane Adams academy!" Okay, so it's the first or third place. Please let it be the first place. They worked so hard for this! The glee club stands a little closer to the other team. ,,And the winner of the sectionals are -" Another silence. I can't understand why they have to build it up like this. Just tell them! ,,Barden High!" The audience and the glee club begin to cheer. They hold up the trophy and look at me. When they're allowed to go off stage, Quinn and Rachel run up to me.

,,This is all because of you, Bec." Quinn pulls me into a hug.

,,I agree with Quinn. Without your quick thinking, we wouldn't have any songs to perform." Rachel put a hand on my shoulder.

,,You have an amazing voice, Rachel." I tell Quinn's girlfriend to be.

,,Thank you." She says and smiles. This is going to be a great friendship between the three of us, I know that for sure. I sigh. Oh, I wish that Chloe and I were this close. I miss her!
