"You guys sure are cowards to fight one on ten!" I yelled as my fist slammed into who I assume was their leader's stomach. He stumbled backwards into one of his friend's arms. I growled in anger.

What absolute assholes. Practically scum of the earth.

"We were just telling him how good his homework was!" Someone trembled. I looked his direction and he basically shrunk down in fear. It was only now that I realized how much I towered over most of them. They looked rather scrawny. Wouldn't mind kicking all their asses. Make mom proud! "Never mind let's just go guys!" He picked up his friend, who was still doubled over in pain, and the entire group hauled out of there.

Once they were out of sight, I turned to the person on the ground. With a first look I almost mistook him for a woman. But as I looked closer, I realized it was a man with similar features. Long eyelashes with big beautiful green eyes, skinny body with fragile limbs. He wore a grey hoodie and a piece of cloth over his face.

"Are you okay?" I asked quietly. I reached down to help him up but as soon as I did so he slumped over and closed his eyes. I panicked and picked him up carefully. "Do humans normally close their eyes and look dead?" I asked him. He didn't answer. Soon, he started to snore. It was a peaceful noise but not annoying. It was kind of adorable. "Oh, so you fell asleep. So quickly?" I sighed and checked my phone. On the GPS app the house was only a few squares away. Or at least the line made it look close. "I'll get you to my home and take care of you." I poked his stomach as I continued to follow the line on my phone, occasionally gazing down at the boy. "You're strange looking..." I examined him further. His hair was fluffy and a nice shade of brown that somehow reminded me of the underworld. I wanted to see the rest of his face, but that piece of cloth was covering him.

"Hey kid!" I heard a yell behind me. I turned to see an older woman staring at me. She wore a tan sweater with a long flowy skirt. At her side was a wooden cane. She scanned me and the guy in my arms closely. "What are you doing with little Ryan?" She adjusted her eyes as if she couldn't believe what it was that she was seeing. I shook my head and searched for an answer. One that wasn't like, 'Oh I just saved him from being beaten by some guys!'

"He uh...fell on the ground and passed out!" I answered. "I'm his friend! Taking him back to check up on him!" She pushed up her glasses and smiled.

"Such a handsome young man like you is surely recognizable. How come I've never seen you before?" She started to walk my direction. I panicked and hugged Ryan closer to my chest. I may not know this guy very well but right now he's the only thing standing between me and the lady, and to be honest she was a little scary. I gulped lightly.

"Uh, I just moved here! I'm from out of town and Ryan and I were best buds in one of the schools he went to...with me." I mentally smacked myself in the forehead. Way to be calm and collected. She kept approaching and I kept taking small steps backwards. She examined me further.

"You're quite tall, where out of town are you from?" I took a deep breath and stopped moving backwards, allowing the lady to get closer.

"I'm from here ma'am. I just moved away then moved back, sorry for the misunderstanding." She squinted at me and looked at Ryan, I lifted him slightly so she couldn't see his face.

"Wow, you're so polite too! We need more boys like you around here! What's your name son?" She asked with a smirk. I gave a friendly smile back.

"I'm Luke." She nodded and stepped away from me, brandishing her cane in my direction.

"Well Luke, I'm Mrs. K. You are a fine young boy and I'm glad Ryan has you." I looked down at the guy in my arms. His eyebrows held a deep scowl that showed stressed wrinkles on his forehead. I sighed.
