I encourage you not to read until after the send off for unus annus. The live stream ends and come here for a final goodbye. But do as you please. Thank you.
Unus. Annus.

They took a moment to stare at the house that gave them so much inspiration. So much time and effort took place inside, outside, and in between. It was like staring into a time machine that only went back one year. The start of their existence and soon to be the end. There was no where else they would rather end off.

One year. That was all they needed. Their lives had been fulfilled to what they believed was the fullest. For them, it was set in black and white. Unus and Annus. Nothing could be more set-in stone.

Memories were carved in the floor, the walls. Stains left by the mind and hopefully never suppressed. They knew what was coming, but decided to take their time leaving. The clock was ticking. But it wasn't close enough yet. Not quite close enough to cause panic or worry. Not that they would be doing that anyways.

"It's beautiful isn't it?" Amy sighed staring at the two boys watching their past fly by. Straining their eyes at something she couldn't quite see or comprehend. Nobody but the two men could possibly understand. Dressed in such elegance and grace it felt only fitting for a funeral. A funeral of their own.

"We lived." They spoke in perfect unison turning only to face the woman. She let out a large breath that took up several seconds of their time. You could see the nervous twitch in Unus' hand and the small flinch in Annus' eyes. They would never admit to their depression, their loneliness and bear with the weight on their shoulders for only a few more minutes.

"It's time." She spoke with care. They glanced back behind them at the house. "Go take a walk around." When the two men turned back Amy's face was obscured, deconstructed. Light colored drops ran down her cheeks, resembling a colorful kind of crying. There was a blinding light that engulfed her body. One so powerful that it forced them to look away. Unus' black suit was clearly visible in the white, while Annus was almost invisible.

Unus took a step back. Annus grabbed his shoulder and with a smile invited him back into his home for the final time. Unus was shaking, not too visible but still it was there. Enough for him to notice and attempt to correct his feelings. But that was certainly impossible. Annus was more relaxed but inside his brain it was racing with doubts and sadness. Nothing he would ever admit out loud.

Of course both wished they had more time. They wished they had a normal year but this...this was what they got and with the cards that they were dealt something beautiful emerged. They can't rely on wishes in the end. They knew mortality was impossible for Unus Annus.

You know that too.

Annus extended a hand to Unus not one of romance or friendship, but one with a certain understanding that only the two of them could share.

It was a slow walk into the place Annus called home. While Unus couldn't relate to the certain attachment that Annus had, he could certainly see the grasp the home had on his own mind. They were made here, lived here, cried here. Sweat, blood, and pure brain power went into what they were and what they were to become.

Both stepped into the kitchen remembering what has been done and what had yet to be done. The ideas that were made or discarded. Some of which they wished had happened other's they were glad didn't come into light.

"Do you remember?" Annus asked aloud. Talking to no one but still expecting an answer. Unus stared to the stove and switched his eyes to the bar with multiple tools and utensils that had once been in their hands.

"Memories are endless."

"Always will be." He finished for Unus.

"But for us? What about us Annus?" Unus turned to the white clothed man. Annus refused to look at him.
