Hello guys! I'll probably write something at the bottom of this for the whole 1k thing but up here I would like to say that this is NOT a side story or cannon to this story in ANY WAY. I owe a LOT of people who read my books some positive vibes so these bonus chapters are my way of saying that everything is okay ya'll! This is just something fun I wrote for a completely different ship. I hope you guys enjoy!!! See you at the bottom of the chapter

It was supposed to be the happiest day in a couple's life. Bells are ringing and people are lining up from all around to witness the marriage of two people.

The ceremony was almost done. I could see Tyler twitching in anticipation. I smiled. He has always been like that.

"You may kiss the bride." I heard the pastor say happily. The couple shared a long and passionate kiss together. My mouth turned to an unnoticeable frown. The room filled with friendly faces emerged from silence with clapping, crying, and whistling. Most of them stood up and wished the newlyweds luck or offered congratulations. I'm pretty sure I heard a person ask for a beer already.

I could use one of those right about now.

I stood as the best man behind my friend Tyler. He said it was where I was meant to be.

But it isn't where I wanted to stand.

I watched every move he made. I saw the tear that ran down his cheek when his bride came down the aisle. His nervous feet and the way he looked back at me for reassurance. I had to keep myself from crying.

But not for the reason you might think.

I was happy for him. I had to be. Tyler was supposed to be my best friend and to anyone else that's all we were. Including him.

I was the only one that thought something was special. What a fool I am.

People started exiting behind the newlyweds to go to the after party that was located outside next to a beach. It was a beautiful location. It was our favorite spot to go when we were in high school. The place where I fell in love with him.

I lost sight of the two when they left. I ran a hand through my hair sprayed locks and let out a loud sigh. I didn't care who heard me now.

My heart was heavier than I could lift. If there weren't so many people around, I would have fell to my knees and screamed. Loud and long. Begging for something, anything to change. That maybe I had said yes to that game of truth or dare, or maybe we met sooner, or I had told him that I was in love with him a long time ago on the beach.

But no matter what I did, it wouldn't matter.

I adjusted my suit and cuffs. I fixed my posture and ran through a checklist that made me appear happier than I was. Lifting my shoulders and putting a small smile on my face. I took a deep breath and headed towards the sound of loud, excited voices. The smell of alcohol, perfumes, and deodorant mixed in the air surrounding the huge crowds of people.

I had no idea Tyler had so many family members and friends. I found myself feeling overwhelmed.

"Evan!" I heard a voice call over to me. I turned to see my old high school friend Brock running up behind me in a nice black suit. He waved his hands and slowed his pace. We stayed in touch online but I had no idea he would be here today. "Hey man, been a while huh?" I nodded my head.

"Yeah, I mean high school years are way behind us now." I stuck out my hand. Brock took it and shook with a soft chuckle.

"You've changed a bit Mr. Troublemaker." He joked. I gave a laugh and released his hand.
