"No Tyler." I sighed picking up my toothbrush and scrubbing at my teeth.

Last night Tyler took the couch while I stayed upstairs in my room. He told me he might leave for Luke's in the morning but there he was, leaning against my bathroom door frame with messy hair and no pants on.

No. Pants.

I kept my eyes on my mouth in the mirror. Focusing in on the foam leaking out. He would totally notice if I was looking down there...

But how was I not supposed to? Such human indecency would, of course, attract my attention.

"You wouldn't even know I was there!" He grumbled. "It's so boring without people around. I couldn't sit still at Luke's place either." He took a hand and ruffled through his hair, making it look poofier than before.

"Wouldn't the school notice that you're not a student?" He gave me an eye roll and flapped his hand.

"If that school functions the same way on the inside as it looks on the outside, I think I can lie my way out of everything." I spat out my toothpaste into the sink and as soon as he couldn't see my eyes in the mirror, they landed on his boxers. I cursed myself and looked back up to wipe my face. Tyler was too busy playing with his hair to notice anything.

Thank god.

"Fine, but when you get in trouble don't come crying to me." I muttered. Tyler chuckled and turned away from the bathroom.

Don't look at his ass Craig I swear to god.

"Why would I do that when I'm not going to get in trouble?" He winked at me and walked down the stairs. I put the facial towel back on its rack and followed him out.

"Tyler, will you please put some pants..." I was about to finish when I heard a key turn in the door. "Shit." I whispered putting my panicked eyes on Tyler. He looked up at me and before I could tell him to hide my tired mom drifted in the door.

It seemed at first she didn't notice Tyler, locking the door behind her and hanging up a coat. Her shoulders were slumped forward and her eyes were only half open. She yawned and turned around to see Tyler.

I was about to intervene when she gave him a lazy nod and headed up the stairs, walking past me and going into her room. Once the door was shut I let out a sigh of relief.

She completely ignored us. Actually, I'm pretty sure she didn't even recognize us. She was a walking zombie.

"Is she...okay?" Tyler asked.

"Her brother just died." I answered, staring at the door for a moment. "Speaking of that..." My eyes flicked towards Tyler. "Put some pants on we need to talk." Tyler shrugged and walked to the living room. I brushed my hair quickly and smoothed out my clothes. Once I decided I looked okay I walked down the stairs to meet him.

Tyler was in the process of putting his pants on, zipping them up when I saw him. Once he finished he sat down on the couch.

"So, what did you want to talk about shorty?" I sat down on the couch away from him.

"What you said earlier about my uncle." I paused. "Actually, I have a lot I want to talk about."

"Oh." He leaned into the arm rest and propped his head up. His icy blue eyes were putting chills down my spine. "What do you want to know? I'll answer any question you ask but that's fucking it."

"Fine. I have several." He sighed loudly.

"Go ahead."

"How do you really know my uncle?"
