Percy's POV
Another day, more torture.
(Lol Santa just came on the Fire Truck. Sry. IT WAS SO FLIPPIN LOUD THO.)
I sat in Biology, my second period, and watched a certain blonde answer all the questions. Miss Know It All was the teacher's pet, I've heard. I've only gone to Goode for a week.
But I admit, it must be hard. I've seen people like Drew Tanaka pick on her nonstop, but she's never fazed. I wonder what her name is. The teachers just call her Miss Chase.
Saved by the bell.
"Jackson, not so fast." The teacher called me forward. Chase was standing next to me. I looked her over, but the first thing I noticed was the eyes. Stormy grey and intimidating.
"I know you're new, and I have to go easy," Ms. Davis said. "But you seem to need help. This is Annabeth Chase." She pointed to the blonde.
"Hi, I'm Percy Jackson."
"Annabeth Chase. Your new tutor."
My mouth flew open. She was the pet.
"What?!" I exclaimed. Annabeth didn't move.
"You and her can set the times. Just make sure your grade goes up." Ms. Davis pushed us out.
Annabeth glared at me. "I don't want to work with you either, idiot. But I will. What do you have right now?"
I pulled out my schedule. "Free Period."
"Same. Let's just set the time."
~Don't mind this swaggy line break~
After Free Period was Greek with her. We'd decided to meet Monday through Thursday after school for a few hours at her house.
We walked in silence to Greek. Mr. Brunner started the lecture, as I sat in the back, and Annabeth sat in front.
I was good in Greek. My dad was named after Posiedon, and I was named after a hero. Before he died three years ago when I was 13, he taught me some Greek. I grew up fluent.
Of course, Annabeth did too. She nailed everything. Some people thought thought it was nerdy, but I envied her smartness.
(A/N I was gonna write Intelligence, but Percy wouldn't use that word, so I wrote smartness.)
*Another Dam Line Break*
Lunch. I sat alone in the back. Amnabeth sat alone too, but a bunch of kids kept bugging her. One of the girls, I think Drew, took her book. Those jerks.
"Hey, can I have my book back?" Annabeth yelled. I could hear her from here. The girls laughed and threw the book on the ground.
I, being the gentleman I am, ran over to pick it up for her.
"What do you want?" She grumbled.
"Well sorry for being nice."
"Ugh, I didn't mean it like that, moron. I was just pissed at those girls." She pointed to a group pf girls gosipping at another table.
"Forget them. Come sit with me." Wow, Percy. Way to push.
"Thanks," she said, gathering her things and following me to my table.
We chatted for a while about small things, school, hobbies. I found out she loved architecture, and told her I loved swimming. She said I should try out for the Swim Team.
Sadly, we had to part. I was going to history, and she was going to some advanced math class.
*Bob says it's a line break*
Gym class. I went to the lockers, changing into the school uniform; a grey shirt with GOODE on it, and dark blue shorts. I ran over to Coach Hedge's class.
"Alright, Cupcakes. Time for the famous rope!"
A large mat lay beneath a long rope, reaching the gym's ceiling. Coach called a few kids, going boy-girl order.
Then came Annabeth. Her usually thoughtful look was determined. I knew what was happening. She wanted to prove those girls she was more than brains. And she did.
