Annabeth's POV
I got home from the library around nine. My family was still out somewhere, having fun. They'd invited me to this gathering thing, but I had work to do.
I ran up to my bedroom, changing into a grey shirt; I put my hair in a messy bun. Laying my books on my bed, I crawled in with them, reading from cover to cover.
In half an hour, someone tapped on my window. I hated being alone after the incident, and grabbed a large book, making my way to the window. Percy was right outside of it, smiling.
"Hello, Wise Girl."
"Percy!" I couldn't help but smile. "What are you doing here?"
"I need to ask you something." He crept in without another word and handed my a box of chocolates. I loved chocolate.
I stood there, speechless.
"Annabeth do you- uh- wanna go to the prom with me? I mean- ugh! I sound like an idiot!" I rubbed his eyes while I tried not to laugh.
"Well duh, Percy." I threw my arms around him, laughing at his hilarious attempt of asking me to prom. He hugged me back, and I winced when his hand reached the scar on my back. He noticed, stepping away.
"Did I hurt you?"
"I'm fine, Percy. It's nothing."
"Well, okay." Then, Percy just stood there awkwardly, looking around my bedroom, blushing. My legs suddenly felt really cold, and I looked down to find that I was only wearing underwear. Oh, great.
"Um, I'm gonna go put on some shorts."
"It's fine, I don't care."
"Yeah, well then we can study a bit maybe and-"
"Yeah that's cool."
So in ten minutes, we were both in my bed, going through notes, studying for biology. Um, I guess we fell asleep because when I woke up, my notes were all around me, and Percy was cuddled next me.

After the exams were all over, the new buzz was prom. I was going shopping with my friends Piper, Hazel, Silena, and Calypso after school. We asked Thalia, but she said prom was for dorks. She and Luke were going to spend the night doing something else.
So that day after school, we all hopped into my car after I said goodbye to Percy, and we headed for the mall. A lot of stored were selling prom dresses on discounts. We went to the first store we could find, Aphrodite's Beauty. Piper didn't wanna go there because her mom, Aphrodite, was going to fuss about them.
We went anyways because, hey, discounts!
"Well hello, Piper, Piper's friends," Aphrodite said as we stepped into her large and bright store. Costumers were everywhere, all teenage girls looking for dresses.
"Hey, Mom. We're here to look for prom dresses."
"Well of course you are! Right this way." Aphrodite led us to a corner of the store near the dressing rooms. "Alright, one at a time. I need the best for you lovelies."
She rummaged through the racks, until she came out with five beautiful dresses.
"Wow, Mom," Piper said in awe.
Aphrodite handed us each a dress, jewlery, and shoes.
Piper got a light pink floor gown. Hazel got a gold knee-length dress. Silena got a dark blue mini dress. Calypso got a white floor-length dress with gold around the shoulders and waist.
I got a long red dress with no sleeves. Aphrodite then handed me black shoes, earings, a necklace, and a black headband.
We all looked at our things in awe. "How much do these cost?"
"Oh, for you children I'll make an exception. Free!"
"Thank you so much, Aphrodite!" Hazel squealed.
For the first time in a long time, it felt good to be me.
