Let's take things back a bit...

It was a week before the beginning of  10th grade.
I was super excited and nervous.
This was my year.
I was coming out of my shell in a way no one has before.
I just needed change.
I mean my life wasn't boring but, it wasn't exciting either.
I had come to the realization that
I really restricted myself when it came to my social life and now I was going to break all of those boundaries. Who cared what people thought, I was going to do it anyway.

10th grade was never ready for me.

But...was I ready for tenth grade??

"Sash, don't go to far, we are leaving soon." I said to my sister as I sat on the grass of the park across the street from our house.

As I stood up to pack I recognized a figure walking towards us.

Is that Josh ??

I had never seen him around here before.

"Keo?!?"
"Heyyyy" I awkwardly said.

I just never really spoke to the guy
Last time I spoke to him was like 7th grade.

"Long time hey" he said casually as if we were ever close
"Yeah definitely"
I forgot we were in the same school.

"Is that your sister?" He asked
"Um yeah, is that your brother?" I asked pointing to the boy riding his bike on the road

"No it's my cousin" he stated
"Okay well I have to go" I said as I noticed my parents car coming into the boom gate

I began walking towards my house
"Let's go Sash"
"Okay !!" She said as she ran on the grass along side the car as it drove home
"Wait you live here!!?" Josh asked not hiding his shock
"Um...yeah I do" I said as if it were obvious

"Oh well we should hang out some time"

I was utterly confused and just nodded as I walked into our driveway.

Why would we ever do that?

"Who's that?" My dad asked sternly
"Oh just a friend from school"
"We were Prefects together in primary" I added to ease his natural protective instinct

I don't know why
I knew very well he was anything but good
But then again it had been 3 years since he was the boy who got suspended for smoking weed with J at the back of the class.

So what did I know really?

First day of school...
Turns out I'm in the same class as

Peter and Harry.

This is definitely gonna be an interesting year.

"Keo please sit next to Josh there at the back"
Ms Sydney my economics teacher said

"Sup" Josh said
He seemed kind of excited
For some reason I was too...just a little bit.
"Hii" I said awkwardly again
"Well this is gonna be..."
"Fun" he finished
"Not exactly what I was gonna say but sure" I said convincing myself

"Hey can you send me last yesterday's work" Josh asked as I started to pack up.

It was two weeks in and we were already suffering form the workload.
