The Expected unexpected

I don't believe in "a" ending.

I believe there are multiple Endings in life. I don't think life can be just a book. People say in life you go through chapters. I think of it more like books. It's like a series and each book in the series has an end. Some good, some bad, some leaving you wanting more, some dissatisfying. It's a lot like Harry Potter.

Truth is in the end we all always hope for that fairytale movie ending...
Whether we admit it or not.

POST QUARANTINE:

December

Things were back to normal
There was no cure for the Virus yet, it just became like every other virus they exist but we don't wear masks everyday because of them.

Mom: Keo!?

Keo: yes mummy, I'm coming

Mom: ok hurry up, I need you to deliver this cake to Lexi's house. I have to rush over to my other event.

Keo: I'm sorry who's house?

Mom: Lexi, you know the one who's birthday your sister went to at Spur?

OMG!!!!?! Somebody tell me I'm dreaming
My worst nightmare is literally coming to life
How can this be happening
I can't breathe
Somebody balance me
Please

Mom: Keo! Keo!?

Keo: um...oh..yes ...er... Sorry what?

Mom: Keo I'm late, you know how busy we are in December, please just go there and deliver the cake it's not a far walk, Lexi's mom can't pick it up because she's already stressed and busy with decor. You have to be there by 12:00 the party starts around 1pm okay?

Keo: oh okay, no problem
I say hesitantly

For once
I have nothing to say
There's no getting out of this
I have to deliver a cake at none other than Harry's house
I have no choice
I mean
It's ok
It's fine
Since we went back to school to write exams
We didn't really speak because I couldn't face it
That's what 5 months of replaying memories did to me
I made sure to avoid him at all costs
And now
Well now
I was definitely gonna have to face him
Phenomenal
All my hard work
Down the drain
I don't know what to think
It's ok Keo
Calm down
I mean he's probably not home
Him and his friends always go out in the holiday season
So the chances of me seeing him are
Like 5%
Yes
So we're good
Nothing to worry about were good

I finally breathe
As I head out the door with my sister and begin our short walk that I wish was longer.

I arrive outside and the gate it's closed
It's strangely quiet for a place that's about to have a party in more than an hour.

I try pressing the intercom and nobody answers

I wait 15 minutes ringing the bell at least 5 times between the buzzer making sure to seem patient while my sister whines impatiently next to me.

I finally come to the conclusion that
No one can hear me and no one is going to open.

Superb
I know if I call my mom she'll take forever to get back to me.
There's only one person who can help me

I feel like crying
I know I sound dramatic
But you don't understand how much this takes out of me

I gently place the cake case on the floor once again as I take my phone out and wait for him to answer with my phone against my ear
