Just start.  Anywhere, just pick something to wear, the young man muttered to himself.

He stood in his closet, carefully selecting clothes for his new assignment.

He smiled as he picked distressed jeans, a white tee and a black leather jacket.  This was going to be fun.

He walked to the door; his face stretched in a cocky smile.

Today was his first day “undercover “ at KimCom.  He had worked for Kim SeokJin for years, ever since Jin had given him a coveted internship.

After that first interview the two men had become close.  Despite all their differences and the age gap they soon became best friends.

Jin consistently gave JK more responsibilities and trusted him with ever more complicated tasks.  Now JK was the head of security at KimCom.  He and Kim Taehyung at iNovis were the youngest security chiefs in the country.

JK pulled into the employee parking garage, bypassing his usual parking spot. He had an office in the building and usually used the security entrances.  He knew most of the employees via the computer surveillance or reports from his team.  He had little real interaction with any of the company or employees outside his security team.

Today that would change.  He mussed his hair, smiling at the reflection in his rearview mirror.

The company was in the process of negotiating a contract with the defense department. He had been tasked with securing the details of the negotiations and all the documents.

His story was that he was a new employee in the accounting department.

He laughed as he headed in.  He looked like the college student he should have been.  He was determined to have fun on this new assignment.

He whistled as he walked in the building, hands in his pockets. Heads turned as he strolled in.  He was enjoying this.  He usually kept a low-profile, observing the people around him.  For now, he needed to meet his co-workers, make connections and be alert for anything out of the ordinary.

He caught the eye of a leggy redhead as he headed to the bank of elevators.

She winked at him as she passed and he turned all the way around to watch her walk away.  Her skirt was short and her hips had an exaggerated sway.

She knew he was watching her. She threw a look over her shoulder at him and licked her lips.  That was bold, even in his experience.

He shook his head and spun around and walked directly into a small, soft body.

Min Lyra had entered the elevator, fear defeating her once again.  She was afraid of crying again, afraid of her boss, but most of all she feared failing.

Head down, absorbed in her worries, she hurried out of the elevator and ran straight into a hard chest.  She cursed herself.  Could she never do anything right?

She looked up to apologize and completely lost her breath.  The stranger had grabbed her arms to keep her from stumbling, but she ended up falling into his arms.  She looked up to thank him and cursed under her breath.

He was tall, his chest broad and muscular.  His arms were strong and still held her tightly.  For the first time in years she felt safe.

His hair was dark and unruly.  It was longer than most men in the office, curling over his shirt collar and falling into his eyes.

And those eyes!! The sun shining through the skylights into the lobby turned his eyes the color of amber.  She watched as they changed color as he moved away, leaving her to wonder if she had imagined it.

But then he smiled, a slow smile, his front teeth playing with his full bottom lip. Her eyes fell to those lips, the upper a perfect cupid’s bow, sweet and innocent, the lower full and lush, sensuous and wicked.  He had her head spinning.

And his face…that face was a work of art.  She could only stare at him.

JungKook reached instinctively to steady the person he had barreled into.

His face was tinged with embarrassment that his flirting had caused harm to someone.  He looked down at the small figure in his arms.  He was unconsciously holding her still, unwilling to let go.

At first, he was worried he had barreled into an elder or a child the person was so small.  But them he felt soft curves mold into him and he knew this was all woman.

He looked down into her face and saw a young woman, the top of her head fitting neatly under his chin, her face burrowed in his chest.  This felt nice.

He smiled down at her as she lifted her face to his.  He drew a sharp breath as he got his first look at her.

Her hair was long, pulled back in a simple ponytail that tickled his hands when she lifted her head.  The color was a dark honey blonde. He felt a jolt when her eyes met his. They were a hazel color that shifted from green to brown, slightly tilted at the corners, her lashes impossibly long.

He carefully noted her heart shaped face and tipped up nose. Her lips were a perfect pout.  They were a beautiful, soft pink with a slight shine and he suddenly felt the insane urge to crush her to him in a kiss.  He shook his head and smiled.

She timidly smiled back and that was all it took for him to want more.  His natural curiosity had him thinking of dozens of questions all at once.

“I'm Jeon Jungkook,” he offered.” I work in …uh…accounting,” he stumbled.  He cursed himself, “way to go stupid.  You almost ruined everything in the first five minutes.”

She smiled again.  He could get used to that!

She looked at him, the stutters and stumbles as he spoke put her at ease more than any charming words would have.  She was in sore need of a kind smile and a friendly face today.  And what a pretty face it was!

The elevator bell brought them out of the private space.  He stepped away from her, reluctantly dropping his hands.  She flushed the prettiest pink and moved from him, ducking her head and quickly scurrying away.

He stood there watching her small figure weaving through the crowded lobby.

He sighed as he lost her.

He turned and pushed the elevator button for his new office.  He had just found his first mission.  He had to find out who she was and how he could see her again.
