After a night of sleeping on his office couch and a quick shower and change, JK was back at his desk. He was so close to putting it all together.

He was interrupted mid-morning with the text from Yoongi telling him he should be at his office in an hour.

Sighing, he closed the work and headed over.

He arrived at the law firm and took the back steps to Yoongi's office. He slipped into the outer office just as Yoongi came out with a file.

A look passed between the men as Yoongi placed the file on the corner of his secretary's desk. He then left the room, murmuring something in the woman's ear. JK quirked an eyebrow at the two, then shrugged.

Waiting just a moment, and without any plan, he went into the office where Jin sat reviewing a set of documents.

How in the hell was he supposed to casually pass him the contents of this file so he could read it?

Jin looked up in surprise, and JK cursed. Forget this, he had things to do.

He stopped and basically threw the file on the table in front of Jin. He watched as the papers spilled out and mingled with the ones on the table.

There, fixed it he thought.

He turned and sprinted out the door, ignoring Jin's protests. He was done with his part.

He made his way back to his office and immersed himself in the files again.

A short time later he received a text. It simply read "he knows".

JK went to stand at his window. This had to be the turning point.

Tomorrow things would go back to normal.

Tonight, he hoped to create a new normal with Lyra.

He texted her to tell her he was leaving the office. He called in a take-out order to pick up on his way home.

"Home", that sounded strange and wonderful all at once.

Lyra got his text and her heart leaped in her chest. She checked the meal she was cooking and went into her closet for the tenth time today. She wanted to look nice tonight, but she had little to pick from.

Mrs. Lee had taken a trip recently and she had brought back a silk kimono robe for her. It was beautiful and fell like water through the hands.

She looked at her reflection and turned to critically observe the way the silk flowed over her body. She frowned.

She wanted to look pretty, but not too....too.....what? Eager? She had to admit she was restless, eager to see him, pacing to hear him at the door.

She warned herself to slow down and keep her head about her tonight.

She had debated the black lingerie Dae had gifted her. He had seen it once, very briefly, too briefly, and she had nothing else nearly as nice.

She looked at herself critically in the mirror. It was the best she could do. She put her hair in a careless bun and sprayed a touch of perfume he had picked out.

She wandered the apartment, nervously moving things around, straightening pillows, checking the timer on the food she was preparing.

She felt silly, but she had to keep herself busy.

It was close to time for her food to be done. She busied herself with setting out the side dishes and setting the table.
